I have two cell phones, one smartphone for many daily activities related with data like chatting, emailing, browsing and another cell phone which old type candy bar phone, I usually utilize for basic phone function like texting and calling..This old phone has already 5 years old and really tough build in, until I drop it from second floor of my house incidentally. Now, my lovely old phone is finally broken. The casing ruin apart and almost impossible to fix.. I still thinking to bring it to repair at service center, however if the repair cost higher than I expected then I will decide to buy new one..How about you? Do you have this kind of experience? What you usually do to solve this problem?

I only have one cell phone cos I am not too mobile person. I only use cell phone for sending message or just making a call. But I have nice cell phone: Samsung Galaxy Fit..not bad at all for me who is not too mobile (you know what, I even don't know how to use all those applications except message and call..LOL). so I almost never have problem like yours. But I think it's better for you to buy the new one. fixing a cell phone is almost useless thing to do cos once it's broken we almost couldn't fix it. today the price of cell phone is so cheap. moreover the Chinese ones. yeah, the quality of course is not too good but for an emergency situation, buying them is one way to get new cell phone without paying much..

Yes indeed, the chinesse cell phone is really cheap but we will never got guarantee.. I think we should follow the trend but not really follow this trend by 100%..

Well, appreciate your response my friend.. I know that cost of repair seems higher since the model has already old meaning not so many spare part available in the market.. I actually have prepared the worse case scenario to buy new cell phones rather than wasting time to wait it being repaired..I think there will be great advantage since I could buy another smartphone but this time the low end version only..

I been using my Nokia E71 for almost three years now and still working properly. There are some scratches in the casing but no plan to buy a new one for now. Before I do have a broken phone that I didn't repair and just buy a new one,I give it to my brother and it is up to him if he wanted it to be repair.

I have a old phone named Nokia 2626 which I used them for texting and calling. Still now I don't have any problem with them. Hope I will continue still my last. If the phone gets damaged I will not repair it because it costs much and more. With that price I could buy a new one. More over I could get a phone with new features than texting and calling

I have several cell phones, the Sony Ericsson k618i was bough like 4 years ago but it was malfunctioned as my sweat got into the phone. my SE w595 which was given by my girlfriend as my 22nd birthday cannot charge its battery. Something got loose inside the phone and it will cost me roughly $15 to repair. But I haven't bring it to repair yet. Now I'm using SE s312 which is not so good but I may repair the W595 because I'm quite satisfied with that phone.

For me,it's better to buy a new one than fix it.you can buy a new phone with have more function than fix it with a same cost.
