my son is 5 years old he will be six in march and he also has ADHD. i was told that the wii will be good for him because it will keep his attention and he is moving around instead of just sitting down and play a game like the other ones out there. do you think that he is to young for a wii and do you think it would be good for him?

if you want him to play Just let him play age appropriate games dont make him play games that are violent and scary,He doesnt have the maturity yet. A 5 year old kid can play video games already but you know making him read books might be better for now, I have ADHD and aspergers, Videogames are good for developing hand and eye coordination but you know 5 year old kid should learn reading first,. if he is hyperactive just let him be, exerciser is good for him. Videogames are good in moderation.

I think a wii is good for everyone....it gives you exercise....and keeps the mind active. We have one and its great entertainment too.

I don't think he is too young. There are lots of little kid games for his age that is on a wii we are getting a kinect for our daughter when she turns 2 to play some o the little kid games they have for her age like the animals or mosters and the dinesny game. If you feel it'll help get the engery has out so that he can sit down and still when you need him to then go for it.
