So is it guys? Hows your preparation for the noche buena? Well it's kind of a bit busy here but even so I'm really excited for tonight. Will you be attending the evening mass? Noche Buena a very old pinoy tradition where the family is gathering together and celebrates the birth of Jesus.

Spaghetti for Noche Buena - Preparation for the Noche Buena
The Noche Buena and even the New Year Media Noche is over nevertheless I still find your discussion interesting. My Noche Buena preparation was really a busy one. I cooked a lot for the family gathering and my relatives brought in a lot of food as well. It was a bountiful Noche Buena for all of us. Nevertheless, all these food will not complete our joy unless we have Jesus, the real reason for all the Christmas season. Lest other people think that Christmas is all about food, gifts and parties; we should always remember to place Jesus first and foremost in the center of all celebration. My whole family did not attend mass. We are not Catholics but we are Christians and we know we have Jesus in our heart. We prayed and thanked Him for the gift of salvation. We acknowledged His love for coming on earth to perform salvation plan. We made it sure that each of us has Jesus as Lord and Savior and that we were celebrating for Him and not for anything or anyone else. Christmas is all about Christ, His birth and the redemption He brought into this world.

I actually ordered in then; just a couple of things to add to what we cooked that evening. We did not have a lot of food but our table was pretty - candle, fancy table cloth, and colorful fruits. We stayed in. It was nice and we opened gifts right after. Hope you had a good Noche Buena too.

Same here! We are getting busy preparing for the Noche Buena. Now, I am preparing for the mass. The mass will start at exactly 10 PM. I sure the church will be crowded.

No preparations, nothing for Christmas. Just an ordinary meal prepared for tonight. With all these misery that has happened in Mindanao, it is so difficult to be merry this Christmas. Just the mere thought that there are those suffering from having lost the lives of their loved ones and their properties makes us just thankful that we are alive and healthy. There will be more Christmases to come but right now is not the time for merry making.
