Gambling like other forms of vices are addictive. Once you get used to it, it will eat up your interests, time and resources; change your views; alter your moral convictions; and may even ruin relationships. Gambling in whatever form, is and have been foretold and prohibited by the Bible. Consider these: "Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse." -- Proverbs 1:14 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murderers, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."-- Galatians 5:19-21 The Bible considers gambling as excesses in life that we should avoid.

Hi emdjay23, I would like to accompany my hubby to casino during our local vacation. He likes to spend sometimes playing his favorite game there. I value my hard earn money very much and will not bet any for sure. I will place my bet only if he gives some color chips to me after he has made some It's not a good habit to indulge in playing card in casino often. But no harm to have fun to enjoy the table game for a short while. Happy posting and merry Christmas

I usually accompany my aunt too in the casino every time she comes home from the states.. but I seldom play.. if she gives my money I won't spend it all in the casino, I will just hide the money and I will just tell her that I didn't win any.. I just play card..but casino i guess you will just have to spend more on that.. Merry Christmas too!

Its good if you do it occasionally but as for my aunt its not just for fun, she was hooked up in the casino playing for 3 days straight..I don't know how she does that, but she can't really remove that from her system..i hope she would finally realize the things that she's doing..and just CHANGE!

seems that your aunt loves to have fun playing casino games as well. Your are mischievous like a little kid huh...to get money in this way. Anyway shows that you are wise not to bet with the money given. If betting you would lose it most probably My hubby likes to get himself relaxed spending holiday in the hill resort for a few days. The air there is fresh and cold and could say everything is available there. Quite convenient and relaxing to have vacation there. We will visit this resort with various entertainment several times yearly

I used to go to the casinos. I have been to Las Vegas, Reno and have been to ones along the coast. I usually have a plan and go with just so much money. My exes have spent all they had with them and wired for more. I would take chips from them and put in my pocket so we would have money to get home on.

Some people spend all of their money in gambling, its good that you consider taking home some chips if ever you'll need money just to get home..I admire those people who does that.. Merry Christmas

I am not one that feels like I can't get away from gambling but I have enjoyed doing it before. I went to Las Vegas twice when I went to visit my grandmother and we had a grand time. I actually just played a few slot machines there and although I didn't win a ton of money, I didn't lose anything either. I was there to see the place more than to gamble. I have played casual poker games with friends too but I have never felt like I couldn't stop or needed to bet the farm on anything..lol..I think that moderation is key to most everything in life.

Gambling is only good when you win, unfortunately the odds are stacked against the player. Gambling really gets some people into trouble as people always play on the hope of winning...

I just went to the casino last night with my friend! . We both had some extra money from our jobs so we decided to go try our luck and hang out. She lost $40, I broke exactly even. (yay! That is a rarity). I enjoy it. I don't do cards or online gambling, but I love playing slots. I find it kind of fun/exciting. It is very addicting, but you just have to know WHEN to stop. For example, I started with $80, and I was down to $10 when I won and got my money back up to $95. I decided to try playing the $15 I had won, and when I didn't win anything from that, I stopped myself. Pretty much I had free entertainment that night because I didn't actually SPEND anything. That's how I see it. Plus I'm not the type of go-getter risk-taker where I would be comfortable max betting and throwing all that money away. I will break even any time and call it a night. I have fun when I go gamble though. Me and one of my friends do this probably once or twice a month depending on how our money situations are. But I definitely think you can easily get sucked in to the bright lights, flashing lights, loud noises, etc. It doesn't help that at the casino we generally go to, they serve you free soda/coffee, so we get all hyper (and impulsive). Ha ha. But we generally know when to stop, so that's good. Happy MyLotting!

I went to Las Vegas with a couple of good friends, and we did gamble a bit though. Actually, I knew how to control myself, and I won't get over addicted to it. That just me. Gambling my hard earned money through the table, I don't think so. I won't trust my luck on poker table or those cards.

i SEE GAMBLING AS ONE MEANS OF ENTERTAINING LIFE. i ALSO DO GAMBLING. I USE TO GO TO COCKFIGTS..my mom said it's not good...maybe it's not good if you already don't know how to control yourself. Gamling is good and fun and to what extend you are going to indulge is the big problem that some families are facing nowadays.

Yes, when I was much younger I went to casinos and gambled a bit. I haven't been for many years and doubt I will go again. It's such a waste of money.
