Well, i'm an engineering student here in india. I've chosen electronics and communication as my engineering field. But since now i'm about to finish my 4 years, i feel i won't have much success in this field as i don't feel the passion for it. I just wanted to know what are my options after i finish my engineering. can i go for an architectures degree abroad. If yes, will it benefit me? I'm more into art and creative fields and not much of a technical guy. So tell me what options do i have and what colleges i can go to for an architecture's degree. Being an interior designer is also one of my options and how do i pursue that? I'm also thinking about an MBA. Give me some help guys.

I am a graduate of BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering, but unlike you, I like my field very much. I have graduated two years ago, and currently working in a Telecommunications Company here in my country. My advice to you is just follow your dream, if you fell like Engineering is not for you, then do not stop until you have found the right field for you. Good luck and welcome to myLot! :)

My answer is go for something you like. It will be a risk for you, but if you are determined, I think you are going to get through it. Good luck!

I think its a common trend here in India to do MBA's after degree. Well you have made one mistake by choosing E&EC and I think you should not make another. Do not go for MBA. Choose for an art college as your inner self says. This is highly recommended. I think we should learn something from '3 Idiots'. Good Luck.

You have to take A-Level art or equivalent for most of the universities in do UK if you would like to do an architecture degree there. However, some other universities in the UK and those in other places like HK might just need you to have an art profolio. You have to check the application yourself and pick up the course that you like most. Good luck!

Hello Zadeer, I did Mechanical engineering though i was also not interested in the technical studies like you,i too was interested in architecture or interior designing but due to family pressure i completed my degree as my father always wanted me to be an engineer being an engineer himself. And after completing degree i got interest in the technical side and started doing job just completion of the course and since then i have been enjoying doing job in this field only. But for you i would suggest you to wait till you complete your degree and start searching job may be you get your interest back while doing job if don't then go for the things you like to do.

Hi zadeer. I'm an engineering too, and even though I am a 'technical' guy, I have lost the passion I held for it. Okay, once you have completed your course, I advise you to take up a job. Once you have collected enough funds, I mean around from about 2-3 years of work, you can pursue your passion. The benefits of it are that you won't be letting down your parents, and you will get to do what you want. You said you are interested in arts. Now it depends, you can take up music, dance, painting and stuff. And there are professional courses for that. All the best.

I also finished Electronics and communication Engineering in my UG. Most of people were taken their course due to parents or friends. As you told that your interested in interior design then you can take M.E- Civil Engineering from a reputed Institutions. Then you had good future related to your wish and passion.
