My referral is not active in my lot anymore because she says that her electricity bill increased by 400Rs. and mylot earnings are almost nil compared to it. What I want to ask is about computer usage and electricity bill. How many units of electricity does the computer use a day? and will it increase the bill dramatically?

You can say that most computers use about the same as a 60w or 80w light bulb. Certainly no more than 100w. 100 watts in 24 hours is 2.4 kwh or 2.4 units. If your computer is switched off some of the time, then, of course, it uses less power. Compared to the light, heat and other appliances most people run, a computer is a very small proportion of it. Switch off one electric lamp when you are not actually using it and you have probably paid for the electricity your computer is using.

Of course, it's entirely your referral's decision whether she remains here or not!

I think a laptop or a computer can not you hanging so much electricity. Yet even 24 hours to work is not possible. I think that we should not believe it. check but I believe. success. nice day!

we have almost Rs5 per unit and its so costly to be on line throughout the day. One could be loosing on earnings if you dont log in and make some good disucssions and comments.

Hello Sree, I don't think computer do take so much of electricity or if takes then too its not tough to make 400 INR from MYLOT may be its something else due to which your referral is not using MYLOT these days i feel so.

I have no idea about it. But we use 2 laptops, sometimes 3 if my brother is at home. Yes there is a slight increase in electric bills if you use for longer hours. But it's not the laptop alone, your friend might be using other electronics at home too that explains how her bills went up like that. And if your friend will rely her bills from myLot earnings, it really won't cover it. I guess she just didn't enjoy it here that's why she quit

Hi,sree,I use my computer every day, sometimes for ten hours consequently each day.but my electricity bill is not increased too much.I think there is another reason with your referral of not active in mylot.Otherwise she is not a patient woman,so she couldn't stay with mylot for a long time.so she found such a pretext.

I have found a difference of about Rs 200 in my electricity bill after buying my laptop. I think it depends on the computer usage too. And the battery of the computer.

that's unbelievable. i'm used to spend my time using laptop/pc up to 8-10 hours a day for gaming and sufing internet and these all didn't effect to my electricity bill. about mylotting we can even access through mobile browser like i'm used to, it can minimize your electricity bill perfectly. happy mylotting

I was also having a doubt on this. If we use 10 hours a laptop of computer I think we will use a unit current and in chennai it is at Rs.6 per unit roughly. What is your idea on this?

well your referel is making fun of you, if you use computer for 24 hours a day it is not possible that your electricity bill goes around 400, computers dont take that much electricity.
