I love watching the cooking shows on TV, I am not a good cook but I do pick up a few good hints on these shows, just recently I have seen the cooks using pomegranate molasses and they seem to rave over it, I think I have tasted pomegranate once and I liked it, is anyone familiar with using this in their cooking, I would imagine it would be something to sweeten a recipe, I am thinking of seeking this product out to try it, any hints on this product..

Thanks for this - I'll keep an eye out for some. Which cooking show did you see them using it on? Was it My Kitchen Rules? Jamie Oliver? Gordon Ramsay?! I've tried pomegranate before too & although it's expensive, it is good & good for you. Maybe I should grow a tree?

Ahh! There's just so many of those cooking shows around these days - mostly British or Australian. I haven't seen Good Cook Bad Cook, but have heard of it. I'm a raw-fooder these days, so I don't have as much interest in them any more, but one can learn some good techniques from such shows.

I use molasses in my baked beans. And some brown sugar. Pomegranates are good but as a flavor for molasses. hmmm. We brough back huckleberry honey this Summer and they were sure good.

I have never heard of it, but I bet it would be more of a natural molasses that would be more healthy for you than sugar, etc. Let us know what you find out. Have a nice day.

I only knew them as fruit that looks like tomatoes,I experienced eating it before but I ate it as is. If you love salads, its a good addition for salad dressing and some desserts. It originates in Iran so its present in many Iranian recipes. It can be used to meat recipes too. usually middle eastern recipes are the one that usually uses this.

Ohhh i have also seen it in a cooking show where Bobby Chinn was the host,it was an essential in middle eastern cuisine they use it on there salad and to sweeten things.Bobby Chinn said it has a sweet yet tangy sourness to it in a funny way (I like him because he is not a boring host or food traveler). I haven't had pomegranates ever so it would be as huge joy for me to have a pomegranate molasses.
