There are many viruses on my computer, so I decide to instal avast antivirus and scan my computer.....Yes, so many viruses detected, but Kaspersky can't repair infected files...It just gave me choice delete files. After scan finished, then computer restart. After restart, all program can't open such as winamp, daemon tools, media player, all games.....damn I was so mad to Kaspersky....so I was uninstall it. Have had you experienced about this ?

Hang on... you're mad at an antivirus program because it got rid of your viruses by deleting infected files that would have continued to spread the virus if they'd been left on the PC? Wouldn't it make more sense to be mad at yourself for installing stuff with viruses in the first place? At least now you're protected and it won't happen again.

I think his point is that Kapersky should have fixed the infected files, not just deleted them. And I agree, any good antivirus program should be able to fix an infection without totally crippling your computer!

Yeah, you right.....That's my point...What is the function of antivirus if it can not cure the infected files ? And now, I use Avast and everything is OK.

An antivirus protects a system, it doesn't necessarily cure it. Kaspersky's a market leader (along with several others) - if the virus *could* be removed without damage, it's likely the program would have done it. Some can be removed, some can't.

I'm very sorry to hear that. indeed, some of the files that have been infected by viruses is difficult to repaired (in my case can not be repaired). as an example, the original files that are not infected by viruses is about 250kb, and after being infected by viruses, maybe the file size will tend to be larger then before. but after successfully repaired by antivirus software, the file that was such a normal-sized about 250kb - will change tend to be smaller sized (this I've ever experienced before). According to my own understanding, antivirus can not fix an infected file, it can only gave you the options whether delete or vault of the file, antivirus can only be prevent, could not cure files. correction if I am wrong. So, it's good idea if you also scan some of the software which stored on your computer - it may also have been infected by the viruses.

I use AVG, but it slows my PC speed, Then i use AVAST, Man this antivirus is awesome, It detect 4423 virus on my friend's PC, For detecting more viruses, USE, Boot time scan Feature, after detection press option 2 (Delete all). One thing Don't repair any thing just delete it. It will be good for your PC. AVAST is the Best.

Don't scan your computer if you know you got many viruses. When you this you must scan in safe mode! always! So the virus can't spread into your maps, games and other things, because only the important things are loaded. You can always try to restore to a older moment and see if it helps?

Ok then, if in safe mode....Is it can run properly ? and will clean all the viruses ? As I know, the safe mode just for restore driver or something like that. Maybe I will try later on safe mode.....Thank for your useful information !!!!
