i am retired and don't have a vacation for the holidays. My grandson did and it was about two weeks. It was nice having him home.

The vocation was one day on New Year's Day in the factory that I once worked for.

Me too,my friend. Since this new year can't compare with our most important festival-spring festival, we just have one day free, (together with the weekend, we can have three days free).
I think in big cities, there will be atmosphere of festival, in small place, the atmosphere is not very strong.

I'm self-employed so I don't tend to take too many days off because when I don't work, I don't get paid! However, the period after Christmas is fairly quiet so I did have a rather longer holiday this year, taking the three extra days between Christmas and the New Year. Pleased to report that I had a very busy day yesterday. Let's hope it continues!
