Pre-teens and Facebook... How do you handle your kids and their facebook pages?

Do you keep your children's password? Do you monitor their activities on Facebook? I, personally, prefer to keep close watch on my boy's pages. I only allow them to add friends and family. And by friends, I mean local, school friends, or my friends. I have set their accounts to private everything so unless they added someone, that person cannot message, view, or contact my boys. What do you do with your kid's accounts? How do you handle their facebook activity?

Your best bet is to monitor their pages and make sure they havent been adding "friends" that they do not know. Also you should be looking to make sure they havent been "liking" anything thats inappropriate for them. Always make sure you know their passwords because they can be sneaky and change it on ya and then you wont be able to make sure they are safe! Hope this helps!

Admittedly, my son who's very young has (way too young to have) a facebook account. He doesn't do anything much in there except play games. I do have his username and password, and I keep his settings private. The friends he has in there are just family. And once in a while I check up on him, on what he has been doing there.
