An Idea I Have.....

I have an idea for making money with Adsense. What if I found a good keyword, low competition, 1000+ monthly searches and got a good matching domain name with it (or a Blogger name- www.keyword.blogspot.com) Then I wrote some unique articles related to my topic and added backlinks to them. Say I wrote 10 of these, submitted 2 or 3 each to different article writing sites like Triond, then used a Social Bookmarking Tool to get 25 Social Bookmarks with my site. Do you think this would work? Would I need more articles?

You just summed up about 70% of the "guru systems" for affiliate marketing on the Internet in a single paragraph. Bear in mind that most article directories will NOT allow referral links now - you have to build in a third-party step where you point the articles to another site (often the blog) which points to the affiliate offer.

I agree, most internet gurus share this technique which is sometimes more damaging than useful in building your blog's reputation. I am doing the slow technique but I think my work is beginning to see the light. After two months I got a 2 page rank which I think is alright with me as I am not concentrating on my blog but on my writing tasks.

SpikeTheLobster is right. At first glance, what came into my mind is, he/she must be a guru. Or, he/she may be following a guru, and then summed up here what he's learning from there! Nice share here, huh? But you know, even though I've been around here for quite some time now, I learned (or maybe reminded), about this simple strategy. Although it is not that simple as stated above, this is a workable plan, and can help you get places online. Keep it up!

Well, you definitely have the right idea here but I wouldn't recommend using a free blogger platform for it. You really need your own domain name if you want to see better results. Wordpress is used most often with these types of sites because it's very easy to set up and maintain. It's something you might want to look into. Ten articles is probably a good start for a niche blog, which is basically what you've described, you you won't be able to slap those on there and walk away if you want to earn any earn any real money from it. You're going to need more high quality content and probably a little bit more effort put forth in building back links. In order to make any real profit from a site like this, you have to get the site to the top of the search engines and this isn't always easy. Take a good look at your competition before you settle on a keyword. What types of sites fall in the top 3-5 category when you search for the keyword? If you see sites like Amazon, etc. you can forget overtaking them in rankings.

It is a good thought but in theory will it work I don't know. I have never tried it. If you do though I wish you good luck and hope you have success.
