In a soft in the lettuce worm, you have such experience?

Last night I bought lettuce, in the wash of time, suddenly from lettuce to fall out a soft bug, as big as a finger, gave me a scare. I've never seen before. Soft bug in the water slowly peristalsis. I looked at, looking at, almost vomiting. Wow, this insect, lettuce inside, really incredible! Friend, you have such experience? Thank you!

Bugs or worms are common in veggies. What I usually do after coming back from the market is to wash the veggies especially leafy vegetables under running tap water before I store them in the fridge.

Hello! You this practice is correct. Now I buy vegetables has become more cautious. Just go to large supermarket to buy vegetables, and then carefully cleaning, ensure clean. Happy every day!

Many times I have found a bug or something in vegetables and I guess it is to be expected as we are probaly eating their food and home as well, so it is just best to thoroughly wash all fruit and vegetables.

Many veggies have worms or insects. Besides that, many have pesticides or microorganisms. That´s why it is important to wash any food that you are going to eat raw. I have had many times that experience so it does not scare me.

I have experienced this before and I found it disgusting at first. I guess it is normal to see worms in the lettuce. Don't worry they are harmless. I think you wouldn't get sick if you see this worm in your lettuce. I suggest to wash your veggies before storing it in the fridge.

I see lettuce worm but not as big as your finger. It kind a cute little worm and the worm is harmless too. You might be scared of what the worm looks like but the insect do not bite. Well, for some worm.
