A 10 day old baby died in Oklahoma because her mother put her in the washing machine!!! She was addicted to drugs and not a good mom at all apparently. She has 2 boys as well which have now been taken away from her. Where in the world was social services when you need them? That poor baby! Do you think social services should have taken the kids when they found out she was on drugs before she killed one of them?

Depends on the circumstances. They have to be careful because if they go in and they don't have enough evidence it can make it really hard for the kids. Why in the world would someone put a child in the washing machine??!! Was she on halluciengics or something?

awww... I feel really bad about this! Wish things didn't happen that way. Anyway, I think it is always one's responsibility to act right away if they know that someone's in danger. I mean, that is not just the social service's duty to save the kids but they could've done a big thing if they acted upon it immediately. Maybe the kid would still be alive today if they have done something right away. On the other hand, immediate family members could have saved the children from their cruel mother. I am sure they have relatives too so that could have been better, plus they have more right to do so than the social service.

Yeah, that's really sad. Those poor children deserve better than that. :-(

Oh, what a poor baby! Well, this mother deserves having kids at all. Why others notice this and prevent her to touch her babies? Where is the father and other family members.Wish the other kids are took away from this woman.

Unfortunately this happens all too often. I am wondering why......it seems they often overlook the obvious and aren't really concerned for the kids as much as the parental rights....so sad.

unfortunately not everyone is meant to be a parent.things like this hapen more often than you think.it is also the fault of people that know this kind of mothers.they should take action and not let the children live with such "parents".it is sad that womans that really wish to be mothers cannot have children, and some monsters that are blessed with this angels are doing this to them.

Well , maybe we can not blame the social services , if somebody doesnt go to their offices and say something they wont know . I guess all start if any neirghbor notices that addiction, sometimes addicted people hide from healthy ones. So , sad to hear that , poor baby, thats good they took the other kids away , but, they should operate her, so , she can not have more children.
