Dear friends, If some computer expert can give a solution to this problem, it would be very helpful. I need to copy a page from an ADOBE document to a Microsoft Excel. Is there a short cut by which this PDF document can straightaway be converted into an Excel sheet? I tried copy pasting the document table but this does not work. I need to type the whole thing out, row by row. Is there some special feature where there is an easier way, instead of copying all the details and typing them out separately?

happy new year too and makar sankranti.. You can covert all the pages but need to install again for each papers. When you download you copy and paste the set up on a second drive and later install it again. Once download, copy the set up to another file, then convert the first page, delete the softwear and again install, if emergency otherwise i am searching some good options. you may send it to me to convert, if possible.

Yes, you can convert Excel to PDF. I use NitroPDF, though there are lots of other PDF writers available for free. I have tried a few and I like PrimoPDF best. It works the same way as a printer. Download for free and install it, then you will see it on your list of printers. http://www.primopdf.com/ Open the excel file you want to make pdf, give the print command, select primo pdf, choose the location you want the pdf version to be saved, voila, your excel becomes pdf. I am sure there must be software that can convert pdf to excel, but I haven't heard of it yet. There are some software available for free that claims to convert pdf to MS Word. But when I tried those, it does not really convert it. What it does is, it takes a snapshot of the pdf and pasted it onto MS Word as picture.

Dear Ms. Kalav Unfortunately there is no simple way to get the transfer from PDF and Excel. No software will do it correctly - whether licensed or free. If it does, it exports text in frames which becomes quite difficult to manage in Excel or Word specially if content is large and you need to format. Still, there is some workaround - In Acrobat CS3(that is ver. 8 of Acrobat Reader) there is an export option in File Menu. Export the document to Word/RTF etc. - prefer the RFT. This will open in MS Word. If the look is okay, you can copy paste into excel. also a minimum formatting might also be needed. I prefer to export it to HTML with CSS. Then open the file in a browser. Then copy and paste in needed place. But this has a drawback at times it creates everything as images.
