How many of us have got the gut to admit our own fault?

Few days ago when I was discussing with my friend about corruption he commented that now a days the governing system is fully corrupted and government should make proper move to prevent it. So I just said that everybody is corrupted more or less. He asked me how is that? So I asked him that can you tell me with confidence that you have never been corrupted, like you have never bribed someone to get your job done or never bought anything without proper receipt from the seller? He answered that he had done so but only to survive in a corrupted system etc etc. So I understood that when it comes to pointing finger at others , we readily do that without thinking that we have done the same fault, may be in smaller level. As it is said that when we point a finger at other we never think that rest three fingers automatically is being pointed to ourselves. But the most important thing is are we ready to admit our faults when somebody else catch our attention on that????

I do agree that I think that we are all corrupted on some level. Of course, those with power have the ability to affect many people widespread and if they do something self serving with themselves, then more people who are going to be thrown right under the bus. Where if we do something shady, few if any people will be widely affected. I think that there are things where we are tempted to take the easy road out or the thing that benefits us a lot of the time. Humanity in general is corrupted, but naturally those who take power are going to take this much further in some aspects. Therefore a lot of people are rather going to do something to rather fight back and in the end, there are no winners. All politicians had to start somewhere. They were all a nobody once.

The short cut to success always leads us to corruption as an extra earning with it. It is also a fact for many that they dont even realize that the lane through which he is walking is leading him towards corruption.

I dont know whether there is god or not to punish me but I accept and say sorry for my fault because it gives my mind relief. And its nice to hear that you do that at least being scared by god. LOL.

It is not clear to me what exactly you call corrupt. Perhaps you can buy something without a receipt over here you can not unless it's allowed. Also to my opinion a government should give the right example and not being corrupt and point fingers at the people (which they frequently do esp. the corrupt governments). I always wonder why they are the first to grab the little man outside of the street and allow the big fish to go on...

Of course government posses responsibility, but what I mean that government is not alone responsible. The main problem is within us. We are not ready to admit that not only others but we ourselves also may had taken part at any corruption.

Well the saying that you have stated conveys it all, that before pointing at someone, look at your own self. Its so easy for people to put a tag on other people, that person is a liar, that person cheats on his wife, that person bribes, that person is a faker, that person is a player but they forget in the day to day life what they are doing. Maybe they dont cheat on their wife but they might cheat at work from their boss .. So ya, human nature that they tend to ignore their own behavior because they think what they do is alright but what others do is a huge big sin!! Nobody is perfect, first try to make yourself perfect then point fingers :). Unless and until you know that you dont come in the same category, dont go about telling people what they do is wrong.. First do something right in life, then point!! After all 3 is more than 1!

Yeah. Most of the time peoples are like "come on everybody do this ." That means when every make the same fault then it can not be considered as fault. Or sometime its like " I only do this, but look at X he does....".

No, i believe that most of people do not even recognize and realise that they do the same thing and act like the one they accuse. I think that his happens because most of us are little or too much selfish and eccentric. Some really do not even know their selves and to be impartial.

I agree with you that in most of the case people dont even realize that he belongs to the same group with him whom he is accusing.

Corruption is deeply entrenched in our society. We all are involved in one way or another.

As for me, I have a low pride, I often ask for sorry even in small things. I don't why most people were acting grandiose that even saying sorry, were so difficult for them to say. If we admit our own mistakes, then there would be less misunderstanding. It is easy to say sorry for your fault if you first lower your pride. It takes time, but if everybody tries to be kind and lower their pride, then it will be possible for them to admit such mistake and say sorry for someone they had sinned.
