I am really impressed with Serafin Cuevas on the Impeachment Court

I am really impressed how Cuevas makes younger lawyers stutter about with his objections. With that age it seems nothing is going to stop him in the court. I am really awed by how fast his wits are in answering and questioning in the court. I believe Corona has a fighting chance with him. Aren't you impressed with the performance of this 83 year old man?. I would be really lucky if I still have his wits with that age.

Same here, Serafin Cuevas is showing all these congressmen including senators how it is be a real lawyer. They fumble and stutter before his objections. If only I had half of his wits when I reach the same age, I would be more than happy. Did you also notice how respectful he is before the senate court and even to his fellow lawyers? If there is one person who will be remembered in this impeachment proceedings, it will be Justice Serafin Cuevas. When I learned that he will be the counsel of Corona, I knew right there and then that the Chief Justice has a fighting chance. Serafin Cuevas is not only good, he is excellent.

Yeah. He is really one of the most memorable icon in this event. I don't think that he is being to technical rather he is explaining more about the process which help us non-lawyers to understand a bit better the trial. I believe it is important for them to follow the rules so that it would be fair. Most of the prosecution is running on emotions and assumptions in which if left unchallenged it would lead to a wrong presentation of the facts. I don't approve on how they want to hush Justice Cuevas,. I would rather like to make him speak more. I think Senate President also respects the order given by Cuevas' objections.

I guess experience does play a good card on the defence panel. In the field of law, experience is crucial because not everything is black and white and as well the situation is never predictable. We are all familiar with the saying that justice is blind'. For that certain adage, time and experience is a very important factor and weapon because the law and trial can be a very unpredictable I have to say the the vigor of the Former Chief of Justice is very interesting to watch. This is the arena where new isn’t always better and minds and intellect should be used instead of feelings since the law is also a scene of manipulation. Law and morality aren’t mutually exclusive and they don;t really mix well together as one brilliant lawyer character once said. Going back, I think I can expect great things in the trial, even if I won’t watch as religious as others do. I also lament the loss of Miriam Santiago – if there’s a threat to a good and brilliant lawyer, it’s another brilliant lawyer who knows the essence of the stuff. I’ll be so interesting to watch. Not like other who just have the shallow meaning and the obligatory title of the profession.

Yes too bad that the prosecution team has no such lawyer to counteract Cuevas' tactics to thwart their allegations. I think being a former Chief Justice himself has acquired him a lot of experience in defending a case as what is happening right now. Although I am looking forward for the Chief Justice to be impeached here. I am afraid that the skillfulness and wit of Cuevas would sway the favor with them.

I saw the video in a short while it is like this is the slogan "You are still too young to beat the defense, come back when you are well equip to face me." is I suppose he could say to the prosecutors side. I want to see Sen. Santiago take a stand to battle the defense, but I know she has a huge respect for him. :)

He is a very brilliant lawyer. Unfortunately, brilliance doesnt necessarily mean heart. He was serving his masters like a mercenary serves his clients. it's all about the big money for lawyers like him.
