The cat grabbed my phone!

My young cat is very playful and energetic, able to get up on worktops in a jump..small objects in reach will be inspected and maybe played with..He's pounced on my phone sock before to play with, but earlier this evening I'd left the phone here on the computer desk..and quick as anything he'd grabbed the sock with the phone in it in his teeth and if I hadn't seen him do it and stop him,it could have ended up anywhere! Does your cat bring you moments like that?

My cat Sleepy, who has since passed away, once sat on my open laptop bathing herself (I idiotically left it unattended to go do a few things around the house). I came back in the room in time to see that she'd somehow managed to Live Messenger send a bad word to a friend of mine. I blame the keyboard for placing 'a' and 's' so close to each other... Luckily, my friend also had cats, so he believed me when I explained what had happened.

Good that you had such an understanding friend Your story reminds Me-I saw a photo recently (maybe from Cheezburger?) showing a kitten sitting on a laptop keyboard, with the quote (paraphrasing!) "If I'm not supposed to be here, why's it cosy?"

I only recently got myself a laptop...My cat does the same, and gets quite miffed at being gently shooed off..!

Our grey tabby cat, Colbert, is quite the cat. Almost a year old he is energetic and playful. Antagonizing the other two cats and jumping up on tables and in the windows. We have candles in the window and stuff on the tables and it does get nerve wracking. He's quite the kitty!

Yep,lit candles around the place are something I don't want to consider with DJ on the prowl..

Don't you know the rule for cats. "Anything not nailed down is a cat toy. Anything nailed down is negotiable."

My young cat gets back behind the television and chews on the cable wires. And he goes in my walk in closet and goes through my things. i hear him rustling around in there. He is a loud meower and a very sweet cat.

To be honest, I do not have cats at home. But I can comment on this debate as more or less know their habits. They are agile, alert and playful, especially when they are young. I have had many types of animals in the house, but never a cat. I would still like to have one too because I know that their "maintenance" is very simple. In fact, they are very clean animals.
