I was attended a Parenting Seminar last week, this is a one day workshop conducted by Teacher where my first year son is studying. One among our group activity was...we need to choose among those written in the wall as follows: 1. Riding in a roller coaster 2. Passing through dark long tunnel 3. Climbing a mountain 4. Crossing in a hanging bamboo bridge I had chosen the riding in a rollercoaster, I was the representative from our group so I explain and share our group discussion. Here, we consider our adolescent lives just like riding in a roller coaster because aside from the thrill and fear of riding on it as we consider "Trials" and the up and down movement of the unit considered by the group as the "Success and Failure" but keep on riding until the coaster stopped and we considered this as we passed through those and succeeded our adolescent stage despite of many trials of being in that stage. Others share their personal experiences that they did not even experienced being an adolescent because when they reached the age of 13 other was 15 they said they already married because of early pregnancy. How about you how did you overcome your life being an adolescent? Would you care to share please?

I was mother with 17 years old, before I took care of my half brothers, sisters, brother and mother. I always been old/mature, never been a teenager. At that time I also had friends who were 20 years or more older as me. None of your examples fits me.. perhaps now I can say the rollercoaster but only because it went so fast I had only time to think about how to survive.

4. Crossing in a hanging baboo bridge. I'm crossing/walking in a hanging bamboo bridge just like living my life then without a father. Only taken cared of just my mother, together with my 4 siblings. That makes my life somewhat vulnerable because if in case the bridge (stands for my mother) was damaged there were no catch basin for me and my siblings to be safe. Walking in unpredictable hanging bridge with hard wind opposing your way like the challenges in life we should go through to be victorious. On that challenges we endeavor, we learn and we became matured on things along our way!

Everyone of us passed different kinds of trials in life and we are very grateful because we are blessed despite of the hardship of passing the adolescent stage and we are glad now and trying the best we can for our children will not pass the same hardship we had been encountered in life. God bless!

Out of all four, I would go for riding roller coaster. There are up and down in our life. It's like going through a ride facing fears and adventure. In the end of the ride, you'll realize that you have been through an amazing journey. However, one thing about roller coaster is, we'll probably one to take one ride once the first one is over.

I find it so hard to choose on which of the four where do I fall. I think I will go number 2. Passing through a dark long tunnel. It's because during adolescent, I got pregnant at a very young age and a mother to baby boy. It was those days wherein, I was so down, The father of my child denied me and my son.

Hi gelay! I think everyone is not actually a total adult. I mean, there will always be a childish heart in all of us. Well, I am sure I do have. I would like to think that I stopped growing up since I was 17 years old which I think is both good and bad. Sometimes I would like to act like a grown up and be confident about myself. I had a baby when I was 19 years old which I think is a good thing. Really, I now think that this is a good thing because when my child grow up, we could grow up together. It was hard at first because I had to take care of someone when I don't know how to take care of myself. I'd choose #3 Climbing a mountain. It is hard but when you get to the top, it is very rewarding!

I think i would pick up number 1. Passing through dark long tunnel. My life when i was adolescent was kinda dark. I am mislead. I hated everything. I don't understand a lot of things. I was a rebel. I was in the dark. But as i grow up, i get matured, and learned a lot of things. In that dark tunnel, i know that there is an end. And there is light after you've walked through it.
