Hello everyone.
This question is in my mind for so many years. I know that it is just a magical story but now, I just realized why is it that many think that there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We need not to think of it as if physically. That saying just means that there's a reward for us waiting for after our long journey in life. The pot of gold is the reward and the journey of life is the rainbow. I was really happy that I heard it from a person I like. She gave me an idea about it that's why I've came up with that.
What about you? What's your idea about it?

I thought that at the end of the rainbow there's a pot of gold and a leprechaun. LOL. It's a fairy story. Well, anyways yes that is true, after a long journey in life, there is something good waiting for us, so we have to keep our spirit high. Have faith, don't lose hope. And there's also a saying that, After the rain, there's a rainbow. So i hope that everybody could find their own pot of gold. have a nice day..

Yes, you are right that the meaning of the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow is our reward for the long journey in life. For me the Rain is our trials and difficulties in life, sometimes it rains to hard, this is when we have are big problems and sometimes it only a rain shower and that is when we have a little bit of difficulties. But after those rains (problems) there is a rainbow that signifies that there are hopes in all those problems and in the process and trying to do all the things we reach the end of the Rainbow and we see Pot of Gold, this is when we already overcome the trials and done all the things that we can do to resolve it. We start reaping the fruit of our labor. We have to strive no matter what happens, we have to think that there are Pots of Gold at the end of the Rainbow.

The Irish leprechaun's secret hiding place for his pot of gold is usually said to be at the end of the rainbow. So a save place to hide something since they say it's impossible to reach the end of the rainbow. If this is really true you have to find out yourself. Or read the internet. I think you will find info about that too. (there are people who say they did reach the end of a rainbow but if they found that pot of gold?).
Might be that by now this "expression" is only used to make clear that it's impossible or only possible if you that what is impossible possible?

I also love this belief/saying, for me it means that in every trials in life there is a great reward waiting for us. just like there is rainbow after the rain, the rain stands for trials and difficulties of life and the rainbow signifies a great new beginning that we are about to face.
