fyi....becareful of criagslist!!!!!!

I have heard of other crimes committed by Craig's list posters. It is scary. I do not use Craig's list.

Hi Bjc, I just read about that last week in the paper. One of the ladies that helped bust them was local. She had just bought her home legitimately and one of her neighbors said that the house was involved in some Craigs list scam. Well, quickly discovered it to be true when she started having people stop by and calling her. I guess one lady had even put money down...sight unseen!! Really some of this is just common sense. I can't imagine forking over all my info and putting money down on a place over the internet and without seeing it. Good Grief! But I guess that is how these scammers continue to thrive...there seems to be plenty of people that fall prey to this sort of thing. I'm pretty much thought of as a "sucker" for a good story but I guess i hear so much of this stuff, I just would never bite. Anyway, I'm glad they got caught. Hope they are made to pay restitution but sadly, these people usually have no means of paying back their victims and if they do..it takes forever.

It is sad that Craigslist has become such a mecca for the fraudulent and scammer types. It was a good site many moons ago and now it has a very bad reputation. I guess to really be safe a person needs to go elsewhere to find a job. That would be the only way to really be sure.
