Anyone remember Hercules: The Legendary Series or Xena: Warrior Princess? I used to watch these all the time while they were aired and loved them and their cheesy yet cool special effects. Was also a series that had one of my favorite actors, Bruce Campbell as Autolycus, the King of Thieves. As usual he was witty and funny. :) And I think the personality of Hercules was depicted well in the series as conflicted and like he should be, manlike, just very very strong. Anyways, I loved these two series, how about you?

Hercules - Hercules -- my man!
Omigod! Hercules was MY MAN! Yes, I remember both Herc and Xena very well. Both series had some topical humor too. Obviously I preferred the Legendary Journeys over the Warrior Princess, but I watched both religiously (Ares was no slob either. ♥) Then Kevin Sorbo cut his hair and went on to become some space captain on a sci-fi series and broke my heart. And Lucy Lawless now plays Lucretia on the Spartacus series on STARZ, which incidentally begins its 3rd season this Friday night.

No, Andromeda sucked. Speaking of Lucy/Xena, her husband, Robert Tapert, was a producer of Hercules and Xena. I had mentioned Spartacus on Starz which not only has Lucy/Xena but her husband is also a producer of that show. I watched the premiere last night, and noticed Michael Hurst was the director of that episode. Michael Hurst played Iolaus, Herc's sidekick. Wow, one big reunion, it seems. I don't think we'll see Kevin/Herc in the arena, but I have a new love -- Gannicus♥ who returns this season.

Didn't care much for Andromeda? I didn't watch much so I don't know if it was good or bad. Though his character role seemed at least reminiscent minus the superhuman strength. And I watched Xena and Hercules like a hawk for its daily meal, it was my main entertainment to look forward to, to see what happens next to the hero and heroine. I almost forgot Ares, but I always loved Autolycus as he brought rather quirky character to the group who's kinda in the middle but leaning towards good. There was another character who was funny that Autolycus tended to get stuck with too... forgot who that was... was like a trader or something..?

Oh, I remember those series very well. I especially love to watch xena. I got this love for her though. She is strong and warrior type. Also, she is one of the beauty in princess type. Anyway, I miss those episode though, do not when we can watch them again.

She was independent, powerful, intelligent, skilled, athletic, can hold out on her own, but seems to shine her most when among others. She was an all-out medieval Wonder Woman. XD I loved to watch Xena too, she quickly became a mentor and something of a mother to the younger Gabrielle and over time taught her things as time went on. Xena learned and grew too in her travels, but maybe not as aware of it.

I remember both of these series very well, although I have mixed emotions concerning them. The series of Hercules was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the fact that he performed outrageous feats of strength it was not too exaggerated because he was the son of a God and therefore his ability was expected. In the case Xena Warrior Princess I was not at all impressed with it. She performed impossible acts such as triple somersault up into a tree and battling several soldiers at once, which is far too great an exaggeration. She was a human being and as such the whole concept was totally unbelievable, which certainly destroyed any interest in the programme for me.

Two of the shows that I really grew up on. I remember having a huge crush on the actor and fanaticism for Xena that one time I told my mother I wanted to enter the army because I wanted to be as tough as her. Then I grew up.

I am going to admit, much to my husband's dismay, that I have both of those on our netflix instant queue. I am mostly done with Hercules, as I always enjoyed it more than Xena. I have to admit that for me Bruce Campbell was the best. I tried using that as a draw to get the hubby to watch with me, but no such luck.

Awww, that's too bad. :( Bruce is one of my all-time favorite American actors for his witty, sarcastic, hilarious, and overall down-to-earth attitude he brings to each of the characters he plays as. I guess if it isn't his kinda show, it isn't his kinda show but glad to see another Bruce fan or at least Bruce appreciator! ^_^

I enjoyed both shows and even the reruns are good. Bruce Campbell is a great actor and now I see him on a show on the USA Network Burn Notice playing Sam. Its great to see others watched these shows.

I watched and liked them both. I liked Xena, which was a spinoff of Hercules, more than Hercules. Lucy Lawless certainly looked better with the black hair color she had as Xena than with her natural blonde color she has had in shows since than. I also liked Renee O'Connor(of course she was from Texas like me) as Gabrielle. The musical episode they did was very good and musical episodes were later done by other shows such as Buffy: The Vampire Slayer almost as well and Grey's Anatomy very poorly. I really liked the New Zealand scenery shown in both show and I still would like to travel there someday to see some of it.

Yeah, I'm a fan of those shows. Ever since a kid, I always love shows whose settings were historical and mythical. I love to see action, character conflicting with himself and seeing the computer graphics used in the show. I was really entertained by the two series that I make it a point to steal the TV from the helpers just to watch them.

I had also use to watch these series of Xena when I was in school life. Most of the serials were watched at that time. I like to watch this type of series still now.

Yes, although I haven't seen the show a lot, I remember Hercules and Xena from the animated movie Hercules and the Titans or something like that. I still like the movie a lot.
