While I use mylot i also learn my english, because if I everyday read the discussions of ather people I learn some new words. Before i used mylot I only read english discussions like once a week, but now i read atleast 10 discussions on one day and make money on the same time. How do you think about learning english from mylot? And what I also want to know from you is, would you like it if ther was a seperate part on this site where ather languages are legally? I would like the languages because then i can also talk to dutch people a bit faster, but the down site of it that ather people cant understand what we say to each ather.

I think the best language to be on here is English becaue most of the world speaks english and its the main language for everyone. Well for me i dont need another language on here because i speak english and english only and im glad to say that i can type on here and help others that are learning english. Its a great site to learn english if you need to. Its a pretty easy language to learn and alot of people are learning english and its going to help the people out that cant understand the people that dont speak english so i say keep mylotting so you learn as much english as possible.

English is a very important languages, because the msot people have it as primary or second languages. Also on schools in the Netherlands it is becoming more important ther are school that teach here half dutch and half english. Also on the university they have to speak english because ther are much people here for study that aren't from the Netherlands.

Learning English better does not go in one day but it go just step by step. What is just did a few second ago is add a grammar control to my firefox(it is a Internet browser) because than i can see faster that i made a mistake. I only had the dutch grammar control on it and that would not help if i am writing English:) I hope we speak over a few year very good English!

yes i do learn a lot from mylotting. There are a number of users whose vocabulory, whose grammer, the way of expression and choice of words is too good. The more you read the more you learn is the point i follow.. The second part of your question about having other part for different languages then i will say that i will not prefer to have that as there are hundreds of languages in the world, how many would they include..then english is a universally accepted language so everyone can understand and if you give languages section only a particular group will be able to access that, others will not be able to benefit by that..

It is, if they make a separate part with an other language it is only for a few people. i also just like it on this way but i was really interesting how other people thought about it. And i am happy that you cant heard my English, because i really have a dutch accent to it that i never going to get away.

Definitely, myLot is my English tutor. I wouldn't say my English has become perfect but I did notice a lot of improvements. There are just expressions, phrases or manner of saying things by the native speakers that I still could not relate to and am hoping to understand in the future.

Yes, I think I am. Majority of the members here are native users of English and those of us who aren't native speakers I think manage to put across what we think and feel in English and so I find this a very helpful site.

yes i think i learned a lot. I may not be so good in speaking or writing in english. But staying here in mylot also helps me. As we all know, English is our universal language, we may be from other places and have different dialects, but with english, we can understand each other.

Not only mylot but other forums can be a great training ground for us to hone our English competency. I myself is not from an English speaking country. Though we have been using English as our medium of instruction in school, it's still difficult for me to master the English language. That is why I find Mylot as a Godsend for me. Aside from I can earn some extra money and learn some new ideas, I can also practice expressing myself in English. I like to think that my English has somewhat improved in my few week stay here in Mylot. I hope after a few months or so, I will be fluent enough to converse with other people in English orally. Of course, just writing in English is not enough. We also have to practice using English in our conversations. Anyway, I guess it will not be a good thing for mylot if they allow members to speak other languages except English. Like what you said, that will be a disaster since not everyone will understand you. A large language barrier will separate each mylot member from another.

I am a Chinese, and new here. However, I am confident that my English will be improved after some time, because trying to use a language is always better than merely learning it. Besides, I can get myself exposed to natrual English here, rather than the sentences from the textbooks. After reading others' articles and comments, I can learn gradually how the native speakers express themselves and think of questions. It must be of great help to me. Thanks, majorroald, for your great question. Good luck.

Well since I am from the US, English is my first language. I do know a little bit of French and Spanish, but not enough that I would be able to communicate. But I do feel that this site is a great thing for people from other countries to be able to learn more English and learn how to communicate more as well.

Hello! Mylot is a great site for us non-native English speakers to improve our skill by communicating with a lot of people. I used to study Spanish two years ago and frequented a site called livemocha. I am not sure if it is still existent. I like the fact that Mylot wants all communication to be in pure English. In that way, we can understand each other's comments.
