I wait until I am outside and see them. Then it usually starts by me saying hi and telling them my name. That is the easiest way for me.

im not akind who would say hi and hello to my neighbors though i might smiled to them and answer questions if they ask me but not to the point of approaching them to have talk to them. i stay inside the house most of the time and go towork nor go out without them noticing im out. same as them is different here in the city than in the province as in the province if veryone see you outside they will approach you for a little chit chat nor a simple hi and hello.

Hi! I am really not a good neighbour. I am a shy type and do not mingle with my neighbours. I only know them through my parents. When we were still new if they look at me and smile, I also smile back. Now whenever I see one that I know at nigh or on morning I really greet them to show respect.:)

With us it was always normal to invite the neighbours together at an evening at your house to get known eachother. But nowadays nobody is doing that anymore. In fact they find it weird if you ring at their doorbell and come to introduce yourself as the new neighbour. So I do nothing anymore. I just arrive and stay or leave if I find a better place to be.
