Urrgg! I love the Dollar Tree but when I went in there last night once again one cashier and the other was who knows where doing who knows what! I mean the line reminded me of the lines you stand in at Christmas time! Then all of a sudden another employee comes out of the front little office probably knowing about the long line and says O I can help the next in line on whatever number! It irks me to the max! I have applied there several times and got no answer at all! What is the deal with them?

Well i think i have replied to one of your discussions about the dollar tree before about you filling out the application and no one calling you back about the job position. These stores must be the same everywhere. They have about 5 lines at the new one around town ehre but only ever have two regisers open at all times and even on the weekend when its most busy and its crazy that we have to stand in lines when they can hire another cashier and make somones life easier by hiring someone and also make our lives easier as well by not having to wait in long lines or even wait for a cashier. Crazy life we all live in thats for sure.

They probably don't want good quality worker. They would need to pay them more in the long run. Maybe you should picket outside with sign stating the Dollar Tree needs employees that want to help the customers. HIRE ME! Best Wishes!

They do that here too! They only have one cashier and they are not even standing there half the time so you have to ring a bell and wait for someone to come running. They always have people putting out shipments but only one assigned to the register. I've heard they are not a good place to work for, or atleast that's what I heard some employees saying one time I was in there. Which I thought was not proper, you keep your opinons of the company to yourself unless no customers are around or off the clock.

Ha ha, I know the feeling. I go to Dollar Trees too and some days they can be super bad. Like Wal-Mart. It's probably just the company's fault for being understaffed whether it's intentionally or unintentionally. Some companies are so cheap that they think that ONE employee can do everything, so as to keep their payroll numbers down. Which is NOT cool when it gets busy. That poor single cashier. I think the owners and CEOs of these companies forget that the CONVENIENCE is a big part of the reason why we go to these places. I would probably rather go to Target and wait in line for 20 seconds than go to Dollar Tree and wait in line for 20 minutes. I guess I'd be willing to pay more to avoid understaffed, uber-busy stores like that.

My story is about the check cashing place I visited today. There was no line so I walked up to the window. The cashier is taking her time eating fries, talking with friends. Two problems I had to be to work shortly and why is she eating at the window in front of customers. Not to mention your handling money you might want to wash your hands first. So the slow pace continue and I have to start work in less than 30 min. I blurted out if you don't mind I have to be to work 02:30 in other words hurry up! So I was able to clock in on time. That was so rude you either on the clock or on break. Don't eat a burger while you suppose to be cashing checks.

Yeah That would make me so angry too! I hate those check chashing places! I don't understand there why they have to take so long in that stupid little box like they are doing something important and I don't think eating a hamburger is important their customers are! I hope she or he washed her hands! Ewww
