Want to buy a new PC! please recommend

My PC is already very old. I had this since I was in third year College and that was 8 years ago. hehe...well anyways I am not very knowledgeable with Computer hardware and the system itself that I need your help on what PC to buy? what are the Computer specifications that should be present for me to have a very efficient and cost effective PC. Please help me.

Hmm buy any computer with at least 3GHz dual core processor and 2GB RAM will be fine for normal use.

the latest processor is core i3, i5 and i7. its depend on ur requirement. if u dont have too much work load buy dual core or core 2 duo pc (HP/LENOVO/ACCER) for regular use or u have to work on 3d or 2d buy core i3/i5/i7 with 1gb graphic card...

The specifications you need really depend on what sort of usage you are going to be putting the computer to. Gaming needs better specs than word processing for instance. Buying the best you can afford is often a good solution.
