I really love italian food mostly the cheesy ones, pizza, spaguettis , lazagnia... ect. I went to the doctor and said that I have gastritis , so , she prohibited to eat chesse and whole milk products, strong sauces , or the seasoners, Ohh I am not happy for that, I am going to try to take care of myself so , I can eat all these kind of food that i love again.

Hello, safety69! I am sorry to hear that. I hope you can really control yourself from eating those food for it is also for your own sake. How about any alternatives? I mean, in the case of my mother, she is diabetic, but she can still enjoy the food she loves. How come? There is already an ice cream and cake for diabetic persons. In your case, I think there would also be some alternatives for cheese. Or maybe there's pizza that you can also eat despite your illness. Oh! Talking about lasagna. I think I'll die without eating lasagna.

I hope you can find an alternative. Life is too short that is why sometimes I think I'll eat everything I want no matter what. But of course this is wrong, and I am not advising you to do the same. I am also not doing that.

Oh Italian foods is one of my cravings. As your doctor says, you have to resist this foods for awhile for you to healthier and to cure the gastritis.Obey what the doctor recommends and eventually when you are alright you can't definitely eat them again.

You don't have to give up all of the foods that you love. You can make vegan versions of your favorites and even explore some new ones. Just try searching for "vegan Italian recipes" or seeking out a vegan Italian cookbook and you will find that there is an abundance of options out there that won't be detrimental to your health. I will say, though, that vegan cheese doesn't melt in the same fashion as regular cheese and certainly doesn't have the same flavor, so that is something to keep in mind as you work with it. Personally, I would consult with the doctor to see if goat and/or sheep cheese would be okay. While you can do many dishes vegan, there are times when you just need the deeper flavor and melting properties of regular cheese.

Well, that sucks! You could probably still make a light Italian meal. Maybe some gnocchi with white fish. Take some olive oil, some butter, some garlic, some salt, some pepper, and sautee it and toss your gnocchi in it. Grate some fresh parm on top and you're in there!

I cannot take that. I mean, if I was told that I couldn't take pizza ever in my life, I would probably go insane or something. I love pizza and also like pasta food. That's really bad news for you, then, I guess.
