I wish I could travel more. My parents came from Germany and since I was little I have travelled to Germany and other places in Europe about three times. I would like to go to Germany again and visit a lot of my relatives that live there. I'm a little excited to learn that my cousin and her husband will be visiting Canada this May, so I told my mother that I'll come to her city and visit with them a few days. My cousin has been here four or five times since she was little. My parents will take them to visit places in Canada that I know they will enjoy. Maybe, someday I can travel again to Germany, the Octoberfest would be a great time. My daughter was there at that festival and said it was fun , with all the beer you can drink and great food too. So, share your travel stories, MY LOT FRIENDS!!!!

I would love to travel around Europe, but right now I am not working and neither is my husband. Money has been so tight lately that it has been close to impossible for me to travel. I have debts to pay and living with my parents has been a nightmare. Everytime we get money my mother expects us to give it to her because she is behind in her bills. She had gotten a bigger house so she could help my sister take care of her four kids and now my sister has moved out and my parentgs could really downsize. My mother keeps asking for money and we keep on telling her that we do not have enough and the little money we do have we need to pay for bills. Our stuff is in storage and the storage places charge a lot of money and we need to have car insurance. My husband cannot work due to a serious foot condition and it takes anywhere from six months to a year to get disability. I have to be at every doctors appointment and it is hard for me to look for work because there have been numerous occassions where the doctor calls and says we need you to come in this afternoon. No employer is going to hire me if I have to keep on leaving work to tend to my husband. We have a few bucks saved up and at the end of March Randy and I are taking an overnight trip to see the group Alabama. The budget was set so we can take this trip.

Travel is my top hobby and I have been lucky to be able to visit more than 55 different counties in my lifetime so far. My favorite countries that I have traveled to are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Belize and the Seychelles. Last year I visited Colombia's north coast and I found it lovely. The year before last I went to Vancouver in Canada and it was a superb trip. In 2009 I went to amazing Cape Town and the Garden Route. I travel with my four year old disabled son and my two year old daughter. It was okay when I was younger and had months away traveling but now I have the school terms to worry about. I managed to get my disabled son ten days off school in the one school year. Then I will combine it with the Easter Holidays. This gives me one month in Argentina, Chile and maybe Brazil or Uruguay. Our trip is starting next month and I am so very excited about it.

I never had the chance to travel in different countries but I travel a lot in different places here in my country every month. The joy of seeing new landscapes, the magnificent dusk, the cool breeze of the sea, and the warm smile of different people I met in different places are simply priceless. At first I was a little hesitant to travel alone. I'm not used to it. I only travel by buses. Later on, as I go on in different places, things have changed. I'm no longer afraid to travel by myself. I'm always taking pictures of random people and places that captures my eyes. Traveling to other places is fun and exciting. I can't wait to have my first vacation outside my country.

Being able to travel abroad means having a lot of money. For me traveling is once in a blue moon. It all depends on your financial support. When money allows I will certainly travel.

Germany would be AMAZING. I definitely want to travel more too. I was supposed to go to Ireland this summer for a penpal's wedding, but the round-trip cost of the ticket is almost $1,400 which is just TOO much just for the ticket - and then you have to think of staying in a hostel, food money, drink money, transportation money, etc. It costs SO much to travel it makes me a little sick. Canada sounds fun as well (I have yet to visit there, too!). Hopefully you can travel to Germany again - that would be a really cool experience - just start saving up and I"m sure you could plan it out in now time! Happy MyLotting!

Hi ecaron: One of the things I would really love would be to have the opportunity to travel all around the world so I share with you this same feeling. I hope I could find the right job to start saving money and accomplish my dream someday. ALVARO

Honestly, I felt shame to reply on your topic, since I don't travel a lot, and I haven't seen everywhere in this world yet. I love to travel just like you do, but I just don't have much opportunity to go around. Although I live in The United States, I didn't go to many places, there are places like California; Texas; New York; Boston; and many more places I haven't been to yet. Germany, and Europe other countries, definitely it is my dream to go to.

Between 1987 and 2009, I was not able to travel at all. My life was complicated and difficult. Things have improved and I have managed to put aw ay a little money for travel. I have a travel account. I began to travel again in 2009. I went to Las Vegas for the AARP convention. In 2010, I went to Orlando for the AARP Convention and down the Florida Coast to see girlhood friends. In 2011, I went to Colorado to see a girlhood friend. I also went to Los Angeles for the AARP convention and then I went to Thousand Oaks to see an old friend. In June, I am going to Boston for my 50th high school reunion and in September, I will be going to New Orleans for the AARP convention. It is all very exciting but it is also stressful. I have had to re-learn how to travel. I have had some difficulties but am getting better at it.

I wish I could travel more too. I love to travel but don't get a lot of opportunity since travelling requires a lot of money. We try to take a vacation at lest once a year and go back to our country to visit friends and family or travel within the country too since there are so many places I would like to visit and see

Germany can be a really fun country to go to. The people are friendly, love to drink and party. Personally I've travelled through it on my way to Sweden and I've been to Berlin. It's one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It has a very modern look because half the city got bombarded during WWII and there are a lot of places to explore. That being said, from what I hear it's definitely not the only city worth visiting. The only thing I don't really like is the fact that it's further north from where I live. In the summer I prefer warm temperatures and no rain. You have to be lucky to get that in Germany for the whole vacation.
