Yesterday we had a meeting about how to improve teaching quality. The headmaster urged us that we teachers focus on every student, making sure each student gets a higher mark. But there are different opinion from teachers. They insist that it is the students that matter in teaching activities. The reason is that if the students will not learn ,there is no progress no matter how great the teachers are, and students are the principal part in teaching.Mylot friends ,what's your opinion about it ?

It matters more in teacher. If the teacher is teaching you boring things then how we are interested in learning? If the subject is boring then the teacher should make activities or twist to make it a little exciting. Even if how much you are interested in one subject if the teacher is not too smart or knowledgeable and boring, you won't ever learn.

As my son said is not the kind of subject or thing, is how the teacher approaches each day theme. My son used to do very bad in science which in my school days I though was boring. this year he has a new teacher that make the class very fun as per he tells me and he is getting grades above 90. So like you see is all about making the classes interesting and not just passing students because the principal is afraid they will close the school.

In fact,Both teachers and students are both important at the same level.just like making a moive, teachers are like directorswho will guide the who course. The effect of it depends on how the director directs. While the students are actors or actresses. If the film is good, only a good director is not enough.good actors do matter.

I think that teaching is something that is very important in the world, because we can't really get on in life without being properly educated. However, I think that relationship between a teacher and a student is vital. Everybody learns in a different way, and everybody teaches in a different way, so if a teacher and a student are very well matched then this is excellent. Both students and teachers matter, as children can't get through their education without having a good relationship with their teacher.

I appreciate your opinion very much.the relationship between the teachers and the students matters much.If the teachers and the students are well matched, the learing activity is a good thing for both to enjoy. If not teaching and learing are both boring .However clever and however hard they are ,learing has no effect.

Well without a good teacher, the students sure won't get all that much out of the education at hand. However on the other end, without students that are willing to learn, there is little point in trying to teach anyone anything. So really when one thinks about it, both teachers and students do go hand in hand, trying to get the best educational experience. So indeed both are two parts of a working system. If one fails, then the entire system is busted. Of course, a good teacher can motivate the students and attentive students can cause some teachers not to fall right into paycheck zombie land. So there is that. Both are equally important in a way as without both the entire education system will not function.

i'm not a teacher but in my opinion, the student won't learn if the teacher is no longer effective. so, i think teachers must find ways to become more effective so that their students will get high marks.

Good teachers, make good students. I can't imagine a good student with an average teacher teaching him. I don't know if the quality of education is justifiable if that is the situation in school. Teachers are molders, in order to produce a good pot, you need to be a skilled potter. The same goes with teaching. For the question of who matters most, my opinion goes to the teacher. It depends on the teacher of how he/she handles the students. Every student matters and each of them requires attentions. In my opinion, students will learn if their teacher possesses a good qualities that they can try to emulate. This is just an opinion. :)

Good teachers do matter but if the students will not study no matter how much the teachers try ,in which case however good teachers are, they will have no choice but to give in to the students. Here i would like to point out one thing that each person likes to learn whether he is a teacher or a student or something. The reason why those who are called students is that they must learn something at school whether or not they are willing to.

Well, for me, teacher and students are what matter most. Since without any of the two, teaching is not anymore its name. I believe, the teacher need not so intelligent or above average in order to teach well and effectively. I prefer, that teacher should rather be with great and pleasing personality, with charisma that could keep his/her student pay respect and attention to him/her. He/she must be artistic, creative, innovative and motivator. He/she have the heart to impart all his/her knowledge to the class and would be selfless in relaying his/her experiences and understanding for the improvement of the class. The students as well, should be a good listener, participative, attentive and is very much willing to learn and to improve. Thus, it is a two way process, it should not be the teacher or the student alone. It must be the two of them so that it can be called "teaching".

This is hard to judge. But as a teacher, it is their responsibility to help the students to study better. Try to make the study to be a happy thing. Since it will be a drive for the students to study. I know it is easy to say than done. But as a teachers, they have experience and I hope they will try to do the best. I love China

Without the students, teachers wouldn't have jobs. Without teachers though, people still find out info and learn things. I think the students matter more - but I also advocate ONLY those who really love teaching to be teachers. If you don't enjoy teaching and/or don't like kids, you have NO business becoming a teacher. If you're a bad teacher, nobody will WANT to learn from you. If you don't care about what you teach and you don't make it interesting or relevant, it makes sense that nobody wants to learn from you.

At the end of the day, both groups consist of humans. And you know very well that sometimes we humans aren't compatible with one another. But students are easier to teach. I am with your headmaster. Teachers must definitely focus on every student. Find out their strength and weakness. We all have different learning styles. Why don't you guys try out giving them learning inventory quiz? It will help you better understand how each of these students studies. By using the inventory concepts, you will be able to boost their learning abilities.

This is a tricky question. I have to say that in any relationship, it goes both ways. So for a student-teacher relationship, it's also a give and take. But, the thing is, the teacher still plays a greater role in creating a conducive learning environment. The teacher initiates. The teacher presents. The teacher teaches. Now, in order for the students to pay attention in class, the teacher must be creative enough to catch his or her students' attention and interest by at least understanding the world of students. You have to put yourself in their shoes if you are a teacher. You can ask yourself how you would respond or react to a particular teaching strategy you choose. Now, when all is exhausted and if a teacher had pretty much done a great job, then it's the students' turn to learn and to do best as well.

In teaching it is the teacher. It is them who should make a point that what they're saying will benefit the student. The student's responsibility is to think and learn from what their teacher said. Learning is a two way process. A teacher will learn from a student and a student will learn from their student.

I thinks both teachers and students matters in teaching.both are complement for each other.and only single can not be enough in teaching.but in my opinion the most important things that matters in teaching is METHOD of teaching. if the teaching method is according to student's behavior then every student can gain high marks.

I think should take a big part in teaching. Teachers should find a way on how to make the students listen to them. Students hates boring teachers so I think they, the teacher, should think a creative way on how to make his or her class alive. :)
