I am really annoyed with all this fake jobs on Freelancer site. I had encounter many fake jobs there like originally posted was Web researcher, Business Research, Typing PDF to Word , data Entry and many others. You bid you apply and you will just learned later that it is a captcha entry job. I am sick and tired of those people who spam the site. You are seriously looking and working for a job and those people just fooling, it is really annoying. I pity those who had ripped those people who fall from those fake jobs. Why can't they make money without fooling people. If your a member of those outsourcing job watch out for those jobs that are fake. SOme put a very catchy advert like its a real job. You will know its fake once they message you directly with procedure for the work like log in with this site and will give you user id/password and so on.

I met those type a lot when I was hunting for a job back then. Out of 10 jobs posted, almost 7 to 9 were fakes. I really pissed me off as I desperately need to earn money. Some just posting to get someone to sell insurance for them, scam, some offshore investment and even those data entry scam. I really need money and I had to deal with that!

There are lots of good employer and that really looking for provider to work for them but those fake people spam and even post job advert that looks like a real one. You just need to be cautious to check the profile if its really a good employer and that is really a genuine. BTW, Are you in freelancer.com too or other outsourcing website?

I was in Freelancer.com (I should say is as I never delete my account there, unless the admin delete my account now) I also join a few more sites, including local sites provided by the government.

I tried to look for jobs on that site and found the same. I gave it up after a few tries, because with all that time and effort it requires to find a real one, I rather look for jobs somewhere else. Unfortunetely, fakes are everywhere, and I keep falling for adverts :( Very frustrating.

I've been observing the site and i have seen there are really reals one. Its just that you have to be good in bidding to win the job. I came across some but the job was win by other provider. So that means there is a great chance i can win a job and work. I can't give up yet as long as i see a chance.

I feel for you for I myself have been deceived. One day,I received a call from an unknown person saying that she's from a multinational company that they're looking for junior executives to be part of their project as they'll be expanding. She also gave me compliments that I sound so professional that I may be the person they're looking for. When I asked for the details of the job & the company she was hesitant to give them & instead asked for an appointment w/me only to know that this was just a networking scam.I don't want people to be fooled again.I wish that company will be gone as they are not registered in the Bureau of Internal Revenues & the Department of Trade & Industry. In short, that company is illegal.

That is really what makes any looking for work online quite the frustrating maze. Where there might be some legit things online, but really when you look at it, there are just a lot of digging right through all of the scams and all of the schemes on life. Some people just tend to really feel the need to trick people to say the very least. And many people are obviously falling for it. Therefore these people will stick around like parasites. Where they are really just continuing to scam people time and time again. And it is the same suspects more often than not. Some people are just really like this for some reason and there will always be people like this, with more people desperate for work.

Yes i agree with you, you have to a lot of digging to look for the genuine one as most are spams that use different username. Its just frustrating that you have to dig deeper just to find the real one. I wish the admin would filter those spams so that all real will left and the site will be friendly to use.

Well people are always spamming in the world of online earnings. They try to gain the system, and we also have to watch out for the admin's of sites that just want the money for themselves. That's why I have a real job and only use online earnings for fun.

Try to search from other posts here in mylot. There are legit sites that really pays you. Never believed those adverts that says earning online is "easy money" that's a big crap man. Earning online is not easy- so never go with such advert.

Scammers are everywhere, and mostly likely on the internet since we really cannot meet them face to face. This makes them easier to scam rather than actually knowing who your scammer was (but you really want to exact revenge on them, either face to face or mediated). I think that many people abuse the Internet and the people who are reliant on it for jobs. The site is a good site, except that it cannot authenticate the people who are offering jobs. They are just the third party or mediator. And sometimes, they might also fall for some scammer out there. The internet gives some of us a good opportunity to earn money but we pay a good price in terms of trust and sincerity. We communicate with people who are basically strangers and may or may not have the worst intentions for us. It's easy to fall for a scam but it's not easy getting over it. It makes you doubt all the people using the Internet. It's a big risk but we take it anyway.
