yes, were having Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, sausage & country gravy for dinner. We like to have breakfast for dinner at least once a week in my family but even though we live in the south, whenever someone asks what were having for dinner & I tell them, I get all kinds of strange looks and I have asked but nobody ever says... Anyway, we love it.

ladylonewolf2008 ..I am wiyth you..it doesn't matter if the food isn't traditional breakfast or lunch, or dinner food...My criteria is it has some healthy ingredients and not too many sugar products. I have had pizza for breakfast many times and think that's terrific

I just had to comment on this post. I absolutely love pizza for breakfast, because it is so versatile. I enjoy both regular pizza and breakfast style pizza, so I'll have mozzarella and pepperoni one morning, and bacon and egg breakfast pizza the next! By the way, bagel pizzas are a superb way to enjoy pizza for breakfast, whether its a typical cheese pizza on a yummy onion bagel, or something special - like my personal favorite: pepperoni on a cinnamon raisin bagel. Yeah sounds odd, but try it. The combination of savory and sweet is out of this world!

I was so thrilled when I saw this topic, because cooking breakfast for dinner is one of my favorite things to do. I couldn't agree with you more that people think it is a little odd. Sometimes when I invite guests over for dinner and tell them that I will be making a huge breakfast, they think I have gone bonkers and suggest a steak and salad instead. Maybe they think that we intend to pour them a bowl of Lucky Charms, and pop in a few toaster strudels and call it a dinner? But they are missing out hah! I absolutely love whipping up sausage, bacon, pancakes, biscuits, and of course hash browns and gravy on a cold night. I think breakfast foods are just so hearty and satisfying, that they hit the spot for me every time. Maybe this love stems from the idea that breakfast is supposed to keep you going throughout the day and get you pumped to take on the world. So of course, why not enjoy these feelings at dinner time too? Oh and I love grits, a big bowl of it is filling and gives me all kinds of comfort. I guess that's another reason why cooking breakfast for dinner is so great - it makes the whole experience about comfort (at least for me). By the way, I think cooking breakfast for dinner is also good because it is quite easy and a lot of fun. I mean, I know it's simple enough to throw a steak on the grill or let a bowl of soup come to the boil, but breakfast is just enjoyable to make, especially because everything has to be served at the same time, so you need good timing and a quick hand. Anyway, I definitely agree - breakfast for dinner is awesome!

It's not uncommon from where I live. Although, I have to mention that your food for breakfast is different from ours, the concept is still the same. I mean, We get scrambled eggs or the common breakfast sort for dinner almost more than thrice a week. It does arouse curiosity to others, too, but I'm so used to it that I have never really find it unusual.

Seems like you had a very tasty and delicious dinner. Our family also likes to have breakfast for dinner once in a while but we don't have it weekly like your family. As long as for people who give strange looks with regards to this meal let them continue as there is nothing wrong with it. It sounds like a delicious and nutritious meal, what else do we need...

I have breakfast for dinner now and then, although I don't go all out as you do. I usually just have eggs, sausage or bacon, and toast or sometimes biscuits and gravy instead of toast. I know a lot of people who do this, so I guess it's more common here.

This is very common in our household too. We sometimes crave to have breakfast food for dinner. I'm Asian, and we love rice with our meals, and breakfast usually consist of a combination of Western food like bacon with eggs or corned beef, sausages... all these with rice. It's a heavy meal so we usually have it also for dinner when our taste buds crave for it :) Although here in my country, it's nothing unusual. A lot of us do prepare breakfast-type meals for dinner.

I think that´s awesome. I don´t have that kind of breakfast anyway, but I like that kind of food at any hour. My breakfast is a cup of coffee with a bit of milk and bread with butter and jam. Period. What you are telling us would be a wonderful dinner. I would add some fresh fruit or real fruir juice to make a complete meal.
