I want to shop!

I know I need some more summer clothes, I have some in bags, but most of the stuff just isn't "girly" enough for me, or it doesn't fit right. I want something plain but cute, some more tube tops, tank tops, something that would figure flattering. Of course I don't have the money but I plan to sometime take myself out to Plato's Closet for a little treat to myself. Are you doing summer shoping yet? It was about 74 degrees today, very nice!

Hi SomeCowgirl, I love shopping but have put myself on a very strict budget since the beginning of the year. I have a catalogue account that I am planning on having paid off by the end of the year and I am simultaneously saving any vouchers/cash I get from the likes of survey sites as well as myLot with which to treat myself before Christmas. If I do buy anything in between it will only be something in the sales but I am okay clothes-wise as I've bought a good bit this last year and my stuff keeps well. I rather save up for a while and then splurge all at once. I've found this great website where each item they sell is only £5 each!!! I've bought from them once and their stuff is amazing. Perhaps nearer the Summer if I see something I like and can afford it I might treat myself but already have plans to hold off. I find it easier that way as I'm not setting myself up for a shopping spree that I know I can't afford. Happy shopping!! IrishGal77 :)

Thank You! I will check the site out and see if there is anything there I like. They may have warehouses in the countries they've listed as accepting people from, who knows? I guess though, the shipping is to almost deter people from getting just one item so that they make a profit.

I do like your idea. You can save up until the end of the year and either splurge then or keep saving and buy as each season's things go on clearance, that's just another idea. Now I am very impatient and wouldn't be able to do that. This site of which you speak, do they ship to the USA? I may be willing to look into it. Plato's Closet is where I intend to go and they have a lot of name brand things for a cheaper price then it retails for. I found one clearance rack there last year but only had a few bucks to spend and had to settle for a cute top but not the one I wanted. I also plan to walk every day for atleast twenty minutes to help me slim down, in this way I can prepare my body as well and maybe fit into more. I'm not "fat" but I do have" a little extra".

Plato's Closet sounds like my kind of place! Everything5pounds (dot com) is the website I was referring to; now they have Euro, GBP and USD currency on their site plus I checked into the countries available when setting up an account and the US is listed so I *think* they do. I checked their FAQ and Delivery section and there was no mention of where they deliver to but suffice to say if you found something you liked and set up an account with a US address and they accept it, then it looks positive. Now they update their stock on a daily basis and items are sold on a first come, first served basis. I have friended them on Facebook so I get an update when new stock arrives. Having said that delivery is a bit pricey for just one item so another reason for me to save up a bit then 'go mad'! IrishGal77 :)

I am not really doing summer shopping yet but I am doing some baby shopping. My daughter is having a little girl..or so they have said it is...in June. Although the initial shock was great..I have become very excited about having a itsy bitsy teeny weenie baby around sometimes. I have already got a baby bed, changing table, bassinette, clothes, diapers, wipes, and bootie care cream. I am establishing somewhat of a stash for when she comes to visit her meemee.

Having a stash is a good thing! There are plenty of sites out there where you can get some of this stuff for free or cheap, and coupons to be found as well. I hope you have fun shopping for the baby stuff. I know you can't always trust what the images show or the doctor says. My third cousin was supposed to be a girl, but ended up being a boy!

Yes, they did. He is about two or three years younger then me, so I was just a little girl. I was told about it.

I seriously doubt I will do summer shopping. I have tons of clothes. I do not love them all, but if I get busy, I can maybe make some new sundresses. That would be a lot of fun for me.

I've thought of making my own clothes but not sure about that. I don't know how to sew, though if I did I would make myself some form fitting and cute clothes. Mostly in my favorite colors, or the ones I've been told "flatter" me.

I usually shop online to save money. You can go the actual store first and try those clothes on to see which styles fit you well. And then you can go online find the exactly same clothes or similar styles instead.

Not from that exact shop. The shop I am going to shop at is already discounted clothing. There are two places around here who carry nice but cheaper clothing I plan to go to when I have the money to do so.

Old Navy has some good sales. Alittle now and then and before you know it you have a Summer wardrobe. Do you have yardsales in your town? I have heard of Plato's Closet. Sounds a cool place to buy some clothes at also. You never know what you might find at any of these places.

I do know Old Navy has some good deals, but not sure I've seen tube tops there. I want to get some of those as I've had a "liking" for them lately. I do need more tank tops though. I usually bum in tshirts but want to change that this year. I'll go by Plato's Closet when I have some money to spare, maybe I'll find a cute shirt like the one I got from there last year. I got a pink polka dotted tube top but really wanted the orange one but it was a bit more expensive and I didn't have the money.

its crazy here in canada, all the stores have great spring and summer wear in all of their windows and on display but it is still around freezing and although there is no snow, its a little muddy to be wearing those cute ballet flats outside too.

it's been nicer here, and I am glad for that. We only had one snow day, but then again I felt like we had enough last year too. I definitely don't like wearing something too bad if it's muddy or chance of rain, I try to dress acccordingly from my head to my shoes. Or atleast break a jacket.

I am trying to lose weight and promised myself I would not buy any new outfits unless I lose at least 20 pounds and so far I have only lost 5 pounds. I know money has been so tight lately that I have not been able to afford much lately. I am going on a mini vacation at the end of this month to see the group Alabama (I graduate with my Masters at the end of April) and randy said that this is my early graduation gift. I hope that you have fun buying new clothes.

I probably won't buy any for another month or two, but I hope to have atleast $50.00 saved up, that can get a lot of outfits at the store I want to go to, so that would be nice. I've told myself Im going to go out and walk around the neighborhood every morning, but I really don't feel like going out at all! I need to though as I also want to trim some fat!
