Is there something wrong with Yahoo Mail?

It all started when I was composing an email and attaching two PDF files to it. The first file attached successfully but the second file was taking ages to attach even though it was of the same size to the first one. I tried to close the New Email tab but it wouldn't so I clicked on Refresh. When I did that, I couldn't click anything in the Yahoo Mail interface so I refreshed again. The same thing happened, I couldn't click on anything so I just closed the Yahoo window and opened another one. But the same thing keeps on happening and happening no matter how many times I close and open the Yahoo Mail window. I'm getting so annoyed especially because I need to email those files to my classmates!!!! What the heck is wrong with Yahoo Mail??????

Yeah, i do get the same problems with Yahoo mail at times too. Attaching of stuffs seems to take forever and even basic loading takes quite a while when i have cleared everything in it. That's one reason i dun really use yahoo mail now, and i'm moving everything to Gmail instead. Gmail is cleaner, convenient and definitely much faster Why dun u send as two separate emails with one attachment in each mail? That would be the last resort in order to dispatch it out

Hi Kun! I couldn't try attaching a file because the email won't even open. But things went back fine the next day.

This is one of the reasons why I no longer use YahooMail, the largest one being yahoo tends to block emails from autoresponders, whether you signed up for the information or not. They do this because yahoo sells the free email addresses to their own spammers, and they don't want other spammers to get in the way. I found this out back in 2008. Now I use Gmail instead. They are way more reliable and they don't sell their free email addy's or block autoresponders. This way you know you will receive the emails that you want, and less of the spam emails you don't want (spammers ALWAYS find a way in somehow) You may want to look into transferring to gmail instead of yahoo; you will find things of this nature happen way less.

I've never had that problem with my yahoo mails so far. That problem could be due to your pc's performance which was usually temporary. Did you erase the page history? Viruses could also be the cause. It's nothing wrong with yahoo mail, I am afraid. If there IS, yahoo will usually notify all yahoo users of this.

Thanks for sharing. My yahoo mail is working fine now. A week ago, I had to give up on opening it because I was getting the same problem.

Although I also have an account Yahoo mail, I have to basically say that I had never used, so much so that I believe that after 90 days of inactivity, it should be blocked. From the information that you have clearly expressed in your question, to me I would think that this is a temporary malfunction of the Yahoo server. This could understand it if it had not before this even happened. If Yahoo continues to give you these problems, eventually you would have another email account replacement to be able to be used (gmail, hotmail, etc.)?

Yup. I have a gmail account but it's new and I have been using my yahoo account for a long time as my official email. I'm in the process of disseminating to people and offices my new gmail account.

Hmm, this week I encountered weird things going on at Yahoo mail. I found on other times and days, I cannot easily see what is inside my Inbox. I wait for it to come but it was too long. I returned after several hours and it will start to work again. Then the next day its the same again. You cannot access your inbox. What could be happening on yahoo mail?

Hi averygirl! I don't know what's wrong with yahoo mail a week ago. But it certainly gave me a headache. But it worked fine again the next day. It's working fine now. I hope you're not encountering problems anymore.

I use yahoo messenger for chatting and I've used yahoo mail for a long time as my official email. I hate to leave yahoo mail although I also have a gmail account.

I had problems on Friday, found some e-mails were being put directly into Spam box instead of Inbox, tried to move them into Inbox but they just woulnd't move at all. Also tried to put e-mail address into contact list, but that wouldn't work either. Tried to do the same again yesterday, and it worked fine, so not sure if it was just a problem on Friday. The e-mails were actually ones that I had sent to myself [(how sad!!) a week ago, and only just found they had gone to Spam,] from a new e-mail account that I had just opened for a specific purpose, so they should have worked fine.

Another problem that happens to me lately was it keeps on hanging. I mean, sometimes the inbox or a message itself won't open and it would just display the circle moving to indicate that it's loading. I have to refresh every time just to a message or a folder.

Sounds like they are having issues. I haven't used my Yahoo account in a long time though. I thought I heard they were going through some changes though. Maybe that is why. It is always aggravating when there are things that need to be done and stuff starts acting up. I hope it is working for you now.

Maybe that's the reason why I was encountering problems last week. It's working fine now. It would have been bad if it had continued because that's where I choose discussions to respond on.
