This is something that has been available for some time, and could be put on websites as well, I had it on one of mine for a while, there is a suggestion for using it in U.K. soon as well. It used to scroll along the screen when there was an alert, although I've not seen it on many websites recently. information available at http://www.amberalert.gov/

I have FF 2.0.0.15 which is the latest upgrade which I got (came after FF3) from clicking on the upgrade button in FF, although I have FF3 on my laptop. I use Opera as my preferred browser, with FF as 2nd choice, Only use IE7 when I have no alternative as some things I use only work with IE7. You can choose which of your friends to receive e-mails from by going to your friends list and clicking the notifier so that it is on. This is selective for each friend, so you don't have to receive an e-mail from every one of them.
