Foods that are good for bowel movement

I have been to a doctor due to my recent illness that caused my body to show my different forms of allergies and continuous attacks of fever every now and then. When I went to doctors in the hospitals to check it out, not one of them came to know the reason for my illness. So I went to a Chiropractor. It was thanks to my ear ache, that showed later in my ill and weakened state, that the word Chiropractor came to us in our desperate research to cure my illness. It was later found out that my body is merely trying to expel the toxins within it. After a lot of questioning and hearing my bones make those cracking sounds while in the middle of the treatment, I was advised to take the following things to promote bowel movement: 1. Papaya 2. Oat Meal 3. Prunes 4. Flax Seed 5. Beetle Nut 6. Charcoal Drink No milk (If I really want to drink milk, I can drink goat's milk), no meat and poultry, less fish more green leafy vegetables and fruits. I need to get the calcium from the green leafy vegetables and sea plants. Are there other foods you can contribute to my already growing list? If so, please do tell! Hope this helps others and Happy MyLotting!

Yes, it was advised of me to put the flax seed in my oat meal. And thanks for reminding me to drink plenty of water. Last time when my doctor checked on me, he told me that he needs me to drink more water.

If I am not mistaken, I've heard a decoction or a tea of Senna leaves is helpful for eliminating toxins in our large intestine. Just don't take excessive amount of it, because it might cause some untoward effects.

I pray that you won't. It's very difficult to really get sick because you lose time and $$$...if you know what I mean... Have a healthy day and Happy MyLotting!

Aside from food, I would also like to add that to have regular bowel movement, you should also lessen your stress. Before, I use to defecate, once a week. It is a great challenge for me that I almost got hemorrhoids. My schedule at work that time was 8am to 8pm. I have to leave the house as early as 6am. Since my day are always busy at times I can control my bowel. Tendency is that it becomes stiff. Sorry for my terms but I really want to share. Just last year, I started with my new job. My working schedule is 12nn to 8pm. So before, I left the house, I am already done with my bowel. I also eat more rich in fiber food. Hope this helps.

I understand what you mean. My school schedule before was 7am-7pm so I was having a hard time releasing my toxins. And I was so deep in stress. Aside for the fact that my pelvic bone was not in a proper position, having your toxins go stiff on you can really give you a hell of constipation problems.

The human body can combat a lot of illnesses including allergies if it has a strong immune system. Eating a lot of fruits and green leafy veggies, especially raw, can boost the immune system.

Really? I don't think I can eat anything raw unless if it's salad. Most of the veggies I eat are steamed then dipped in a sauce.

If your main concern is how to expell your toxins in your body, havng a regular bowel movement does not secure that you are expelling most toxins n your body. You might try to apply the detox protocol that I got from a natural healing radio program. For your breakfast, you might use boiled potato soup, without adding any seasoning or salt. Just boil the it until it become soupy consistency, after two hours, you must take only fresh green leafy vegetables by preparing shakes out of vegetables. You may add juicy fruits (except mangoes and pineapple) and honey as flavors. You are going to take this every two hours. Do this for one week. No other foods and keep hydrated by drinking at 1-2 glasses of water every hour. Hope this will work.

Thanks for that information! (I'm so happy!) I'll try that out after I consult my doctor. He's very meticulous and doesn't want me to take anything without his approval. Well, I understand him, considering that I was still very sick to the point where I was still bedridden until a few days ago. Heck! Right now, I am still pale.

I'll take the natural way of healing. I am allergic to most synthetic medicine since I was still a kid. Since then I have used natural treatment. It might be time-consuming and really tests your endurance but it's worth it in the end because my body is super-sensitive that it instantly reacts, violently or not, to whatever it is I'm taking.

Yes, better ask your doctor's opinion. Still, you have the option to choose natural way of healing or thru "Western" Medicine.

It is also said that walking helps in bowel movement. There's a reflex part at the sole of our feet that is massaged whenever we walk, hence helps in our bowel movement. That i really can attest, because if i haven't done any walking for the day, no matter how much water, fruits and veggies i eat, i notice that i wouldn't defecate for the day.

Maybe you can take cereals and yogurt. Both contains fibre, vitamins, and calcium. These can help to build strong bones and helping in digestion. I'm pretty sure you can use it as replacement for your daily meals as well, since you can't eat a lot of things right now. Hope you get well soon!!

I'll take the cereals but I am not sure with the yogurt. I better ask the chiropractor for this advice. He advised me out of milk, you see... -__-

Hi there! Aside from the foods you mentioned I find fresh pineapple fruit to help me defecate daily because it contains high fiber. A lot of water too will help prevent constipation thus promoting daily defecation. Making you body active too can help so exercise is a plus. Hope it helps.

Thanks! I forgot to add "drink a lot of water" up there. XD My doctor only told me to eat pineapple if there is something I wish to immediately digest because of it's acid.
