Ok I know mylot has certain protocols one has to follow on their websites, but I can't believe that I've to accumulate a figure of 200 posts before I can use an emoticon???
Wowwww, well guess I've my work cut out for me, hehe, better get to typing,lollll

It is a reward for reaching 200.
You will also have another reward when you reach 500 
You will be able to post images in responses and comments and use (correctly) the copy/paste feature

Thanks owlwings ^_^, I didn't know about those additional perks. Wow, and must say you gave some sound advice as relates to the contributions made now, what is done in the past can affect my future, GOT IT.
See that's why I like this site, everybody here is just so insightful and helpful. Hope that never changes. Well I've been here for a few days and I was just making some observations to deceide whether I should make some referrals or no, but I'm sold. I'm really liking this site more and more each day.

I think mylot do this kind of thing to encourage the users to reach this point. Like the star and the option to rate the comments that you get when you get 100 in your classification. It makes us to try to get this numbers quicker.
Just one correction, I think I have had this discussion a long time ago and this number in parentheses is not the number of posts or comments that you have. It is like a classification that mylot gives to you. For example, you can have 50 comments and a 54 in your number, or your number can be lower than the number of comments/posts.
Anyone corrects me if I am wrong, but I remember something like that. Happy mylotting and good luck to reach your goal.

Well, you reminded me of me way back when I found out about this protocol. I wanted to reach 200 immediately and was really excited to use emoticons. When I did, my first and most used emoticon is this -

You are right, you need 200 posts to have the privilege on using emoticon, you also right all the works here are already cut out for you, so just keep on typing, posting, responding and commenting, soon you will be able to join the rank of emoticon users in Mylot, then you will be glad all your hard work are paying off and will realize all of us had taken great pain to cut out all the hard works for you through encouragement. hehehe..

utopia go and check the email that you used when you registered here. You will probably find some notifications from myLot concerning deleted posts and that would be the reason for the decrease in your number.

Heh heh, I like that last line "well not tons but some" you speak the truth there,but the truth is the fact that I'm making any money at all is good enough for me. It's good after searching so many avenues that I can come across a site like mylot that isn't just about fun but it also encourages education,skill development and enhancement,friendship and making money,lolll and most importantly they're legit.

hi success actually you will be surprised at how fast you can get tol 200 if you just participate as much as you can.Welcome to my lot
and do read the guidelines as they are really helpful to find your way around mylot.Happy Mylotting back at you and please remember admins deletes milestone discussions so do not post a discussion about how wonderful it is when you get to 200 points,instead you are suggested to private message your friends and celebrate that way.in
the guidelines is the dos and do nots of making discussions so its good to read them.happy mylotting you will get there soon.

500 actually. In addition, reaching 100 here in mylot gives you a star. Sometimes, increase in earnings will also be added.

i was just telling my self how long it was going to take me to earn enough to actually cash out even tho i love this site and it is a lot of fun. reading this had given me an even more reason to work harder to get more posts and earn more money. i was not aware of the rewards when you get a certain amount of points but it does make it a little more interesting to have to work to get more exciting things :)

Hello success...
Ayee, there are many protocols and guide line. I was like you, I couldn't wait for using the emoticons because I like using it. As a newbie two hundreds post is not easy because I am still learning many rules in mylot, I didn't know why my comment was deleted, I didn't know to get the star next to my user name, I didn't know about the tasks and many others. Now I've learnt all of that and I can be focus in commenting again. Just be patient, I know you'll get along good with mylot
