We have to be serious in mylot?

Since mylot is a place for discussion, and jokes are violating guideline, Mylot is a place where mostly everybody are being serious whc are required so our discussion has a quality. its fine to tease or talk about something funny if its not violating the guideline.
Its fun gathering knowledge, infos, new friend etc here in mylot. Almost everyone who participate tend to response with quality replies.
Well.. i was browsing any discussion that could make me laugh, rarely find one!

If a topic is a serious one then normally the discussion will be a serious one too. If the topic is humorous then we can have fun, without going off topic and without posting jokes.
There are many hilarious topics here which have been fun to be part of and admin has not deleted them because there is a discussion taking place, even though it is not as serious as some.
Some of us even manage to barge in on a serious topic and make it turn funny too

Yes., you are correct. Some discussions makes me so happy

I think I've never visited any other forum with so many serious and quality posts!
You're right, we can be humorous without violating the guideline... at least I hope!
I don't know if it's because many of us are not native speakers, I'm quite unsure how it is understood when I'm kidding in my way of thinking.

Yes, i agreed because everyone complies to guidelines, we tend to answer to discussion with quality response, and this we ensure all the discussion created in mylot will bring benefits to users..

ya since mylot is a place for discusion and for sharing our new ideas and to have fun and to have jokes among our friends.. we muct have to be more aware of the not to violate the guideline of the policy and not to violate the mylot.. so we should be serious while discussion starting and responding to discussion...

I was wondering about this myself and it is difficult to come up with how being serious applies to every discussion. Certainly mylot is not a place for sillyness to the extent of ruining discussions but the question remains of what is acceptable I think.
I tend to think of discussions I would have anywhere, with a neighbour, friend, associate or someone in a store or business. I can carry on reasonable discussions but I am not always serious depending of course on the topic and the other person involved. So how does this apply in mylot then?
