Hi, MyLot! What about Foreign Exchange? What do you think about it? Is anybody in here that makes a killing in forex? I am curious because I've heard so many times of it, yet I know so less about it...I don't even know where I can start if I would want to join and start earning (or trying to earn something). Please, enlighten me! :)

70% people who invest their money in forex gonna loose their money. This could happen for several reason: 1. Lack of information. When we play in high risk investment like Forex, we must have information complete as possible and fast. Miss one or two important information gonna change our calculation & prediction 2. Lack of knowledge. Some people still think when we play in Forex we just need technical analysis (statistic) and most guidelines how to play in Forex (online and offline) always talking about it. Guess what, ... it wrong. You also need fundamental analysis which you can't learn it in book (need experience, information and knowledge analysis). In normal condition, you can use technical analysis, but when certain time, it gonna be completely useless. 3. Don't how to deal with Broker. In real world when we want to invest our money in Forex, we must deal with brokerage house. We forgot one thing, broker only make money when we in market. They get pay by commission per transaction we made. They don't care we make profit or not, as long they can make money they gonna push us to enter (play) in market. If we don't know how to deal with this kind of person, trust me, our money gone soon enough. In online, we deal with robot software. A lot of people claim it very useful but the truth is I doubt it. Why? Simple, robot software made based on technical analysis ....and like I said before, technical analysis not enough to make calculation and prediction There another reasons why a lot of people fail when invest their money in Forex but I forgot, sorry (My brain start to clogged, English not my mother tongue ...... he he he)

I'm player, my main income came from it ...... not much but enough to make a living in my country. I'm already in this industry more than 6 years. The truth is I don't know much about "investment thing" but one thing that I know for sure: When we invest our money on something, make sure we know have deep knowledge about it. We can't invest our money just by slash information (even it came trusty person).

I forgot something ..... About a week ago I have argue with my neighbor about robot software. He said it useful and I said differently. In last discussion, I only said "if you feel it profitable, why don't try and find reality". And yesterday he told me he lost $600 and angry to me for it. I just laugh and said .....I TOLD YOU SO .......

To make a killing you have to invest a lot and the golden rule with investments is never invest what you can't afford to lose. Forex can make a lot of money but you know you can lose everything within minutes as well? I would suggest you stay away unless you are really brave or foolish as there are far better investments out there.

yeah, i read about it too i try to learn about forex... From what i've read, to make a safe trade, you need at least $1000 of money... even if many forex broker let you trade with just $100 or less, so i postpone my forex learning for a while and try other things to make money... then after i can get a $1000 which i ready to lose, i'll start learning forex again...

i learn it from some website but i forget the site... it was for beginneers and it's in my native language. Right now i'm considering two things... first make a blog, and 2nd is creating images and sell them through microstock sites. The reason why someday i want to do forex(and stock) trading is because we can easily multiply our profit if we know the trick and able to read the market movement. I know i've seen many people broke because doing forex and stock trading, but i also see many people success and can have a nice life from it. I already know the risk, but right now i'm not ready to take it, because right now i can't afford to lose that much of a money.

Play safe mode in Forex is essential but $1000 is not enough to play in safe mode. Most of people fail in play in safe mode because they start greedy or don't know how accept their losses. If you experience in this field maybe $1000 is enough but for newbie ........ I think you know what gonna happen next ....

I guess not knowing forex very well is the reason why most of us are afraid to start. There also is the problem that you can lose everything even if you have the knowledge and some experience. From what I see, forex is like an online casino. You think you've mastered a strategy of winning, and when you are doing best, disaster strucks, and you lose everything. I guess there is no easy way: Either you work hard for less (and you are paid for the time you spend on doing that thing), either you play in the big league, with the risk to lose all you've earned.

Speculation / forex trading is one of the jobs that have an unlimited income opportunity, but also have the possibility of unlimited loss, "high risk high gain" they said. But if you ask me, I think that FX trading is one of the most exciting profession in this world, why: A. Forex trading is a profession that will be there continuously, as long as this world still use money as a medium of exchange, the forex would continue to exist. 2. The possibility of unlimited profits, no other similar work with FX trading (or other speculation instrument) in terms of profits. 3. Analysis process is difficult, but the process of running this business is easy and uncomplicated. 4. And if you succeed in this business, it is guaranteed you will get the freedom of time and money.

As Forex primarily involves trading currencies, it requires substantial knowledge in various currencies and how it behaves based on various economical factors. If one is not careful, then there is a great chance to lose all your money also. I believe only a seasoned player can make money over there.

In today's market, I'd say that investing in Forex is a little on the losing side especially here in my country. It's the time to buy because the dollar to peso rate is low ($1=P42), but not a time to sell and earn anything. In January I was still able to exchange it a higher rate (P44). If you want to invest in Forex, you'd have to have a lot of patience because the money that you will invest may lose at first and you really have no control over the current rates. The bad thing about investing in Forex also is when you buy at a higher rate and then cannot get it to the same rate that you bought it. I have a friend who is just using their dollars when they travel abroad because they bought it at a high rate (P56) and for two years now it has been at a steady P40- P45.
