My sister got video in her school yesterday near in their room, that there are some students practicing fraternity.Like blind fold the eyes and doing something bad. Like for girls student, slapping them in face or other area. For boys they will spank with big stick like something tree to spank them so hard. And my sister got video to it,and reported earlier in the school disciplinarian. And show the video and look it and pass it too the other phone through blutooth. And after she did it,she go to her room, and someone in her classmate told to the member of frat that she reported and make video. the frat member student confront her,and asking if she did video and she did not tell truth because she was scared because acting they looking strong to ask.And she threaten by them. Now what the student did is it helpful or very bad?It is bad for me,because they create that such thing,so will spread out ,and other will do also.

I am a fraternity member when I was in college. At that time, it was an exclusive group of goal-oriented college students recognized by the school, inclined towards community service, as well as a social status within the school campus. Initiation rites were a standard protocol for neophytes to be a full pledge member; to assure one is mentally and physically fit as a way of instilling loyalty. The brotherhood camaraderie creates an atmosphere of family looking after another.

Initiation rites are rituals, as in tradition that one must adhere to be accepted. The physical torture "hazing" prevails as of determining how much pain can one endure to rightfully attain membership. If you are mentally or physically weak, then the only option is to quit or not join at all.

That's not the good rules .Because it is an evil act, group by doing that. hurting you physically, and taste how you feel the pain, and others, can't be accepted and not allowed and that must be reported.

What she did was very helpful in order for the school to prevent those students not to continue that kind of act. However she must have thought of the security as well because she can't control the evil deeds of her schoolmates. I am also afraid for a girl who reported because students might have evil plans against her already. In my case I would honestly tell that I can't do that because I am also scared that they would plan to kill me. I don't trust fraternity nowadays because many people are dying due to hazing.

i think fraternities basically have good intention. to help each members with their studies and other problems. it's just like a social network with good intention. then bad things happen when they abuse and go beyond the limits of the network. i remember, i was an office in the school. and before you become an officer, you have to undergo certain training. there comes the initiation which is normal. but going beyond it, is not anymore normal. hazing is an form of abuse during initiation. i was recruited to join a group when i was in college. i was not sure if that was a fraternity. but i refused the offer. i just told myself that i really do not need the group. i know i can finish the course and so i did without joining them.

Good you declined it.You can go forward without joining that group.I heard that before, but now my sister saw it and got a video. And reported to the disciplinarian because it is not good. I think if you join that group you need to beaten up,and slap many times.

my younger sister is a member of a sorority. the reason she joined was because she needed the assistance of the sisterhood. it offered her shelter when her dormitory got burned. likewise, she was given resources that aides her on her study. there are probably good things and some perks in joining brotherhood like these but one should really think about joining such groups thoroughly and do a lot of research before they really join.

Oh no. My sister had her share of beating. Yes, they were blinded and were forced to kneel on rock salt. Her knees looked really bad that she couldnt wear shorts anymore... i dont understand why they have to include hurting their members before they let them join... ive read an article about it, initition was for the development of trust and respect.. im just glad my sister is done with the initiation and shes doing whatever she could to remove that hazing in their sisterhood... It simply appears like a continuous cycle of unhealthy revenge. Senior members hurt the neophytes because they got hurt before....

Okay,I think it is their part of rules, but that not right because they hurt your sister physically. It is not good to be done if the group trying to plan to do things right. But that is still exist that kind of group and even in here doing of some young student

I think okay group but ,what they do first before they accept your sister? Are there any prerequisite she did? Are any deeds to do like blind her,or something do?Maybe good that group if helping members, and without any physical harm before joining.

Any organization that break school rules or worse, existing laws, is "bad." Any organization that resorts to intimidation or worse, physical harm to others, is "bad." My point here is that fraternities, which are still organizations, are not "bad" if they abide by laws and rules and conduct themselves as gentlemen. A lot of people have questioned why these fraternities exist. It's really hard to explain it unless one is already a member. It's just like asking why a soldier fight in wars not their own. If you're not a soldier, it might be difficult to comprehend why they do it.

Fraternity is started by roman catholic religions.Until spread out,and others group adapted that name frat, and then make their own and had rules, task to do that will harm the health.like beaten up so much, slapping and others wicked activity. This must be observe because some are not doing good.

Actually, fraternal orders even predates Christianity. There have been societies like these even during the ancient Greek times. Although newer fraternities are engaging in these twisted kind of rituals for their neophytes, the older ones do not engage in these physical abuse. I'm actually a member of one of the oldest fraternities in my country. The third oldest, actually, and we still kept the rituals started by our founding members - and this does not include beatings and other wicked activities.

i don't like the thought of it. a lot of people die because of the hazing. i honestly don't think you can get something positive about this. they say it is for protection and back up in case something happens to you but hell no. what do you need protection for if you know in yourself you are not doing anything wrong. i think you are just getting yourself in trouble. it is not all the time your friends can protect you. i believe that even if you have no fraternity and a lot of friends, just as long as you have no enemies, then you are good and better off alone.

Yes true it is evil, and bad deeds because of that is not good to practice and many will be in danger. It is not good to do in school because a lot of students will be in danger.

When I was in highschool, fraternity is very famous and very violent. Most of my schoolmates have one, friends became foes, billiard grounds became war grounds and I what I hate about it is killing other people with different frats. At that time, I cannot distinguish frats to gangs back then. I remember my mom keep telling me that fraternity wouldn't do anything good rather it will bring you to harm. Luckily I graduated without joining one. In college, since it is a nursing school, fraternity isn't widespread, students were so busy with their studies that they don't have time for it anymore. Though my friends from other universities and colleges admit that fraternity in college has some advantages. A friend of mine told me that his dad has a law firm company and he only hire frat members to his law firm. From secretary to ojts.

What's good in it if you are joining that?I think is no good, only if that is good activity without doing any evil will be good. That's good that you declined that thing and if you did, your future will be in danger.

It depends on the fraternity that you joined.Initiation for fraternity is always present to know your full dedication in joining their frat. Some fraternities help raise charitable institutions and some are just for brotherhood and the like.Maybe the student who did the video just wanted to do the right thing. It is against school rules and regulations to practice hazing and initiation when inside school premises because it will be the schools primary concern if something bad happens to the individuals who is engaging in the initiation., and that kind of initiation is not permitted inside the school premises.Students should oblige by the rules and regulations of their school I think what the student did is just fair.

It was my sister doing video. And also i am the one who said to tell the teacher about it. And it is not good, and if every one will follow it, i think there is no good and other will join and participate to it.

In my opinion, it really depends because I have school mates that are members of fraternities and they just act normal and friendly as well. However, fraternities gained a bad reputation because of the controversial initiation or hazing process that applicants undergo. Personally, I have been invited a lot of times to join various fraternities by schoolmates , however; I declined all those offers and invitation because I just don't feel joining one and honestly I am against the idea of their brotherhood. All I want is to have real friends and not to be included in a group or suddenly have companions because of the fact that I undergone a brutal initiation process. Lastly, I believe that I can serve GOD and my country without needing to join such organizations or groups.
