I love watching a good hockey game. My first husband turned me on to it, years ago. At that time his favourite team was the Montreal Canadians and so they became mine too. Now, my current husband loves hockey too and we watch together, his favourite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. I don't really have a favourite , there are few teams I like to watch and when the playoffs come around , we watch intently and I usually get good or bad feelings about which teams will make the final playoff games. I like and root for the Winnipeg Jets, I think because it was so great for Winnipeg to get their team back, I'd like to see them do well and make it to the finals. I also still like the Canadians and I like The Detroit Redwings, too just because they seem like and excellent club. The Calgary Flames are not really among my favorites because I don't see them making to the finals and just because they got a new coach, I don't see much improvement, do you? Anyway, your thoughts, my lot, hockey fans!

I am a dire hard Leafs fan from my early teen years. A high school friend had a connection at Maple Leaf Gardens (where the Leafs used to play) so we were aloud to stand inside the doors where the players entered before games. We also attended some practices. I have pictures and autographs of me with various Leaf players - we're talking the Darryl Sittler era. Darryl Sittler still works with the Leafs. Because of our obsession with the Leafs I wrote a story putting the various players in different occupations. Darryl Sittler was the police Captain, Wayne Gretzky was a rookie cop, a couple of the others were some bumbling kidnappers, Ian Turnbull was a tennis coach. It was such a fun story and I still have it. The Leafs have been lousy at hockey lately but I was always be a Leaf fan.

That would be die hard. LOL! I've been sick and my brain isn't functioning very well... something like the Leafs.

Don't worry, I forgive your little spelling mistake, I understood what you were saying. Your story sounds interesting. I wrote a short story the other day and I'll put it in my computer today. You see, I always write a story the old fashioned way with pen and paper then put in the computer. Silly, huh!

Not at all. I do all my writing by hand first. I am having a hard time getting to editing my novel because I hate working on it on the computer.

I am glad to hear that you love to watch hockey. Maybe the next time you get married you can share this passion with your new husband. It will be something for both of you to talk about. Then there can be a bond between both of you. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your opinion.
