Have ever wonder on this case? Most people who are rich by birth or by their own achievements are become more RICHER and people who are poor by birth became poorer. Moreover, what was their current status would be passed on their next generation to generation. Was really a mindset of a individual the main contributor on how you would become? Or there are secrets formula to have abundant life? I consider myself not RICH (at the moment :) neither POOR - but I look forward that I can achieve my goals and dreams soon....

You're asking if there's a secret formula to an abundant life? According to THE SECRET it has a lot to do with the power of our minds and the law of attraction. If a person believes they are poverty stricken they might fear the possibility that they won't have enough money, food, etc. They worry and their fear causes them to attract more of the same; more worry and more reasons to fear. If a person believes that are blessed and that they live an abundant or affluent lifestyle they might be secure and generous with all they have. They can use money to attract more money so even if they have concerns... they might not be related to lack of money. If we have ancestors or parents who struggled financially sometimes we must create something better and different for ourselves.

That would be true - but some people don't understand the law of the attraction they tend to be self centered. As my saying 'give and you will receive' :D

The rich get richer by making the poor poorer. They have the money so they have the power. They can do what they want basically. You have to work the system to work them.

The inventors, investors, business sharks, and those willing to put in 60-80 hours a week or more working get richer. Those who check the clock at work several times a day, whine about what the world owes them, stop trying once they get a government check, never get richer and usually get poorer. Those in between, work hard, follow the rules, do not ask for charity, and strive toward a better life. They may never be rich, but they will usually be much better off than the second group except for the fact that Brother Federal and State Government demand that the workers pay for those who really cannot work and unfortunately for the slugs who refuse to work. Then the middle class gets destroyed and poorer. Everyone thinks if the rich would just pay more, the world would be rosy. That simply is not so. If every billionaire and millionaire in this country gave every cent they own to the government, they could pay the bills for maybe two months. As it is the rich pay seventy percent of the taxes, the middle class, payes the rest, and 47% of our population pay NO federal taxes. If all of us got up off our duffs and worked like we are supposed to, few would have to worry about not eating, or getting medications, etc, because we would all be striving for making a better life instead of waiting for someone to bail us out.

The old saying about the rich getting richer definitely holds true. A lot of people whine about it being on the backs of working people or the poor but it's really just simple math. When you already have wealth, that money works for you, earning interest and compounding every day. A wealthy person wakes up every day with more money than they had the day before unless they are spending it at an even faster rate. Just as an example, say a person is worth $50 million and they have half of that working for them in investments that is earning 5% per year. That would be $1.25 million per year in earnings just from that money. That works out to over $25,000 per week or over $3400 every single day. The rich do get richer. When you have that much money to begin with, it's kind of hard not to.

Yes it is quite sad when something like this happens, but the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider and wider by each passing day. It is almost alarming and it does seem to get worse, as the poor get swept to the side. There used to be a middle class. The key word is that there used to be, but there most certainly is not a middle class that exists any longer. If nothing else, they have fallen right really by the wayside. Yet despite the lack of money, there are many people who rather endure. To me, that is really the real great element of life. Where no matter what, some people pull themselves up, push themselves beyond the highest level, in an attempt to really focus on any number of things that really do truly matter in life. I think that many of us our rich in personality but perhaps a little poor in money, but we've adapted.

I belong to the higher middle class, definitely not rich or poor in the true sense of the words, but it is true that rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poor in my country due to foul play of the politicians.. Best of luck. Professor

that may be true if the poor does not use her skills and talents over a course of time to change his stagnant situation. those who remain poor have less ambition and a means to change his life. lf could be full of boredom if over a years have not think of other means to make a change of the current situation. i heard stories from scratch to richness. they have able to change lives and so are the rich with their first history start from the bottom before they amass a great wealth, have lot o talents and struggle hard to improve their situation reaching the great heights of living in a grand pedestal because of their hard work and not just because of inheritance and does not depend on luck alone.

There's a saying that "WE SHOULD NEVER BE CONTENT WITH LESS". Rich people were rich because they were not contented with what they have. They are blessed with more because they use their resources to earn more. While SOME poor people remain poor because they are contented in the situation they are in. But we should take note that there are SOME poor people who became rich because they do not instill in their mind that being poor is their destiny, instead they think of striving hard to achieve financial freedom.

For those who were born rich, they probably grew up in a family and learnt their attitude... didn't have to worry about not having enough, so maybe they were more relaxed when making decisions about money, like investing... it seems easier to make more from a lot of money, while it's very hard to make money from nothing.

i would not agree with the statement that current status would pass on to the next generation ,as the new generation arise they have two option in there hand either to live as there life says or to change the life according to there wishes and dream as an old saying goes if you cannot work to fulfill your dream today then be ready to fulfill other dream

How will one judge whether other is rich or poor? Where is the boundary wall between the two? Yes there is a trend of rich people getting richer and the poor becoming poorer. If you are talking of material wealth, it is true. But examples of poor people becoming rich has always been a trend. People have always created wealth although indirectly, they created something useful or heart touching and that in turn created wealth, right from technology to music. There are other ways in which one can define rich. Physical, intellectual and spiritual richness lists quite high on my list than material wealth. What use is money if you don't have a healthy body to explore your surroundings? What use is money if a man cannot distinguish between right and wrong? What use is money if you cannot sleep peacefully at night knowing that you have lived the day completely? A human being is always rich of life.
