millertime responded to a discussion called Do you invest? in make extra money.

When I first started exploring ways to make money online, I made the mistake of "investing" or paying a fee to join or "upgrade" my membership in programs to make money online. I quickly learned that I was throwing my money away. I bought into the claim that if I invested, I would be able to make more money in the program. In reality, those who invest are just giving their money to the program ...

There are many ways to make money online. I tried many different programs when I first started out but I didn't have much luck with most of them. Now I make most of my money with my own websites, blogs, writing articles on various sites like Helium, Hubpages and others. I use AdSense on my websites and also sell products through affiliate programs. I like to have several means of making money o...

I finally found the comments you were talking about and I'm sure it wasn't anything personal directed at you or any one user, except maybe the user that was rude to him. The post was more of a rant at rude people and there are a few of those here on MyLot and not all of them are older or long time members either. I wish everyone could be civil and polite in all of their activities here but with...

There's nothing wrong with setting goals. As a matter of fact, it's probably a good way to achieve more, because if you set a goal, you will strive harder to achieve it than you would without it. That works for some people. It increases their productivity by using a sort of "forced discipline" on themselves. I set goals for myself in some things but I never do it on MyLot. I use MyLot more ...

A very interesting subject indeed. Animal breeders apply the same principals when they breed for certain traits and qualities in their animals. Breeders of dogs and race horses are the best examples. It gets a little creepy though when you start applying "selective breeding" techniques and principals, including limiting reproduction, to the human race though. Most people don't really know m...

I could see them denying someone entry on the bus if it was actually something long enough to be really unwieldy but if it was just 6 ft long, I don't see that as a problem. After all, that's about the height of a person. So what if a guy 7 ft tall wanted to ride the bus, would he be denied since he was over the "dangerous" length? [em]rofl[/em] Some people just get too carried away with stu...

Oh, you mean it's "business as usual" in Washington? It's fascinating to me to see Obama supporters defend him and think he is the "great one" when he has demonstrated so many times that he is just another corrupt politician like all the rest. He campaigned on the promise of hope and change. He was going to change things in Washington. Ya right... He has embraced the political machine of corrup...

millertime responded to a discussion called Instrumental Music in listening to music.

I totally agree. Anyone that says a song has to have lyrics to give it meaning hasn't truly listened to any of the works by the great composers such as Bach, Mozart, Handel, Beethoven, Brahms, Vivaldi and the list goes on. A piece of music does not need words to move a person emotionally. Even in modern day musical composition, one need only think of some of the music in movies and how it c...

It's a perfect illustration of the elitist attitude prevalent in most politicians, liberals in particular. They feel that the rules don't apply to them as they are members of the "ruling class" and they deserve privileges not afforded to mere "commoners". When Obama says "shared sacrifice", he's talking about everyone else, not himself or his family. They continue to take lavish trip...
