controversial topic: Is twilight a good book?

I think the storyline is a bit cliched and everything, but a lot of stories have cliched plots. The only reason I don't really like it all that much is the fact that it is pretty poorly written. Like the word choice, the descriptions, the sentences, they're all just pretty bad. Like, there were kids in my middle school who could write better than that! But, it appealed to teenage girls and made tons of money, so I guess it must be good for them.

Not really. I read the first book and i found it a bit boring, the writing is nothing great, but it was bearable.. I just found out that there wasn't much exciting stuff, i didn't even bother reading the next books.

i don't know why people hate the books but in reality the twilight saga is not good in my opinion too so may be there are many oter books or stories on similar topics but sounds much more interesting than twilight so may be for that people fee bored about twilight books or saga in general..
