People can just really drop you like a ball .. you can't trust anyone.

I don't know what is it with us humans, but it seems that we can't really learn our lesson. I have been dropped like a ball several times on different occasions, and still I can't help but trust that the next time would be better. Why is that? Is it a matter of how I am perceived by others - a pushover? Is there something about me that attracts me to these situations? Anyhow, no matter how hurt I feel, it's just that I am always taken aback when this sort of thing happens. Why are people so mean?

Hi! There is nothing wrong in trusting others. If they go away from you, it is their problem and their outlook. Supposedly, you don't ask them to part company with you. They are selfish and when they see that your company is not going to benefit them, they turn to some other side. Don't feel bad about it, however, you need to be cautious next time when you start trusting someone unknown to you. All the best.

Good one! Perhaps sometimes I do need to think of it that way instead of the other way around. There are just days when my insecurity gets the best of me. But then again, who is secure in the first place? Thanks for the words and I truly appreciate your thoughts! Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Yes some people continue to be pushovers for others and continue to get treated shabbily. Its not because the one victimized is a fool or stupid that he/she get cheated over and over again. its only that we tend to take others on the same platform as we are. We tend to think that our line of thinking is the same as others and fall prey

Hmmm.. Perhaps there's truth to what you're saying. I guess pushovers show the same attitude that's why people push them all the time. I just hope that someday people like me would have the courage to step it up and not be bullied in the end. Not that I am always bullied. I guess there's just days when I get pushed around, but there are also a lot of days when I'm not. Thank you for your thoughts!

It's human nature for us (humans) to have the feeling of belonging and the only way to get this sense of belonging is by gaining and giving trust in others. However, sometimes, we may do more giving then taking and vice versa. Try not to let it get you down.

I know it's not wrong to trust. But there really are just days when things are worst. But I am glad that today it's better. I guess getting this sense of belonging takes a lot of work. But perhaps sometimes we need to consider who we're trying to belong to so that we don't get hurt. Thanks for the time and for sharing your ideas.

You are 200% right. I have done business with my mates previously. All of them used me as much as possible and throw away like a waste paper. That's what the world going on in current scenario. In my point of view, persons who really care our life is "parents."

True enough. There are a lot of people in the world - too much people if I may say. And most of these are selfish people who only take advantage. However, regardless of how we view things, we can't help but test the waters and trust. It is painful to be dropped, but I guess we just need to pick up ourselves and trust again! Thanks for the dropping by!

You know friend, that is really normal, most of people turn you down even the most people who we trusted. BUT don't be sad not only you suffer from this, and some experienced worst. Don't stop to trust, if someone turn you down, just keep moving forward. Everything that happens to you has a reason. AND it made us what we are right now.

I guess these are the 'tests' of time and I know even if I get hurt every time, I wouldn't really quit on trusting again. But there are just days when things are unbearable. But today it's better. Thanks for responding.

Worst feeling ever! for being drop like a ball by the people whom you trust. It is true that sometimes people never learned their lesson and we keep repeating the same mistake. But trusting someone is not a mistake it is just you meant the wrong people to trust. Do not let this experience prevent you from trusting the people around you. There are bad apples but there are good apples too. We just have to be careful next time whom we can give out trust fully. You have to be aware that people who are good to us does not mean they can be forever good. You need to get to know them better before you give your trust. It is not that we attract this kind of people but we just let them be that is why we get hurt over and over again. Life can be cruel too but never stop believing in people too because they can help you if you find the right one.
