What was your favourite pet while growing up?

Hello
As a child I grew up with various animals from hamsters, gerbils, rats, cats, mice. My older sister also went a bought a jerd which is like a gerbil but bigger.
I think for me I did like the rats bcause I liked it when they ran up you to go on your shoulder for a shoulder ride.
The cat was ok too because he was nice and friendly. He was a short haired white cat with ocean blue eyes.
I have other cats now as the white one died. I now have a male black one with green eyes and there is also a tortoise shell female cat as well.
My older sister went and bought herself a dog/puppy which is cute but a dog/puppy is a lot of work. Don't even know how to train him properly. If he picks rubbish off the floor we have no idea how to get him to give it to us or to spit it out.
Which animal stuck out the most for you guys?

In my home we had a dog, a guinea pig and some birds. Our dog was a golden retriever and we got him when I was 3 years old, so he became a big part of my childhood. He was a nice dog, but he was afraid a lot of things. We couldn't take him for a walk because he was afraid of the cars in the street, he was also afraid of many different sounds. I will always remember him, because he was my very first dog. I also loved my guinea pig. She lived in my room and I spent a lot of time with her and she became very tame. Our dog and my guinea pig were my favourite pets.

I just like dogs and cats. Sometimes little rats.
I am not really fascinated by hamsters or rabbits.
But I want to have little turtles one day. I think they're
cute pets. Once I get my own home, I'll have lots of cute pets.

me are my cats and dog. I used to have 2 cats and 1 dog before. My white cat cathes big bad mouse in our house or even in our neighbors house. My orange cat can't even meow but very sweet one. Both of them are very clean cat.
With my dog he is a house dog kind. He help my mom everytime she arrived from the market. He also welcome my father from work. And he really watched our house if no one is around. I love my pet so much. Now wishing to own a dog again hopefully somebody out there like to share thier extra dog hehehehe.

Oh man, you are making me totally nostalgic here! We always used to take in stray cats, 1-2 at a time. We had several over the course of me growing up. But we also once had a wild turtle. I think we found it outside. His name was stumpy because a bird or something must have bitten a chunk out of his foot so he kind of had a nub instead of one of his feet things. We eventually had to let him free, back into the wild, probably after about 6 months. He just didn't like eating our store-bought 'turtle food' so we ended up having to dig up worms for him to eat every day. Which became a pain. He was better off going back in the wild, his natural habitat, but we were still sad to see him go.

i personnaly still now mean from childhood did not kept any interest with any kind animals, like dogs, i not interest with dog. only my elders in the age of 25 he was keeping interest with dogs very much.

i had cats since i was little.when i was 10 years old my parents brought me a small dog.i still have that dog and she is 15 years old.
now i got 4 cats and the dog.
i love all the animals wild or domestic but the number 1 in my heart will always be dogs.

We used to have tree frogs that were interesting to look at as they hopped around the aquarium. My dog now, that I got 2 years ago, is my favorite, and is the best pet ever! She helps the mood of the whole family and is just a lot of fun to hug and play with...couldn't really play with tree frogs ;)
There are free sites online where you can learn to train the puppy. It is important to train them early, and they will test the boundaries so you need to stay firm in what rules you give them. After some training, you will find the dog to be a wonderful companion!

I love dogs because they are just dogs. I always play with my dog and when I go over my friends' houses, I play with their dogs. I also have fish which I feed and play with almost every week.
