I don't know alot about computers but I do know mine gets loud when it needs a good cleaning. A can of compressed air should help, if it doesn't then there could be something further wrong with it. As mine makes various noises depending on what I'm doing and I know it works fine it simply needs to be cleaned and it'll be quieter again.

Normally, when you Personal Computer is noisy, there is a loose part that needs to be tightened or the fans are too small. The noise could easily be sorted by tightening all the drives and any other loose parts in the PC. When it comes to fans, simply blowing your computer and getting rid of the dust could do the trick. You may however need to replace the fans.

The processor in my computer got to be noisy at one time and I discovered it was overheating because a lot of dust had got into it. I took the side of (it's a desktop) and saw the fan over the processor was almost blocked with dust. The fan unclipped very easily and there was dust behind it too. I got an air-can and blew away the dust on the fan and the processor behind it. I cleaned out the other casing fans - there was one in and one out, both were caked in dust. I replaced the porcessor fan, put and replaced the cover. It started up and was very quiet again, like when I first had it. So dust could be a big problem and if you are OK about taking the side of and then cleaning out the dust, then that may make a difference. If you have got an air-can, then you can blow and gently clean the dust using a small brush or something. It is important not to touch anything else and not to pull on anything, as the parts inside are very delicate. _Derek

The best thing was to check the dust in your processor because that might be the possible trouble that you look into...

i think you need to get it checked. if it is not from the fan then it may be from something else. just get it checked before it gets worse.

the only reason I knew a computer would be noisy for, is an excess of powder in the inside. The only thing you'd need to do in that case, is open it, clean and vacuum it thoroughly, then go over the real business: the fan. The fan must be removed, you make sure it has no powder or something on its surface, then, on the top it has a sticker, you peel off that sticker and must add some oil on that space, make sure it's a special oil for that aim, or if you cannot get it from first-hand, use the lightest one you can get. After that, it should make no noise, and let you live happily :D

Well noise usually made from the fans or the hard drive. Some things you can do are, cleaning the inside of your tower, cleaning the fans of your tower and (if you know how to do it) cleaning the cooler of your cpu. If it is due to your hard drive I suggest you backing up your files.

Yeah something might be wrong. Of course if there is a lot of noise in the computer, there are chances that it is a bit dusty or dirty. I would look into how to clean the computer. At least that seems to be the easiest way of solving the problem. I would make sure you have the process known and don't touch anything directly on the inside. Of course, if this doesn't work, then there are chance that something has been knocked loose. If you don't know exactly what you are doing, then I would recommend not just messing around on the inside of the computer, because that can cause a great deal of damage. Chances are something is blocked or loosened or something, it could be many problems. Of course I wouldn't worry too much unless it is constant or recurring too much, as computers have their days of weirdness.

First I would like to know if your computer is a PC or notebook. However, from my personal experience, I can tell you that 90% of cases, especially for the PC "tower" the noise is caused by the fan. you know, in the computer enters and leaves a large amount of dust that it bother to the rotation of the fans present at the inside of the machine. Speaking of PC, if you can and maybe you could open it with the help of a small vacuum cleaner, start to remove the dust that enters the case clean and especially the fans (including the supply of course). Then if after all this, the noise persists, then it means that the causes can be attributed to other factors.

It's a loose wire that's getting in the way of a fan or otherwise it can be a fan itself that's making that noise.

I'm not so sure about it, but maybe it can be some kind of error, maybe something in your computer is wrong like some parts are making those noises, but i don't know the driver/DVD combo if you don't use it so much then uninstall it, so there won't be any noises that you would be distributed.

it must have something wrong with your computuer now. firstly, if the computer can start normaly, which means your software is no problem, you only need to check your hardware, if the computer can't run into operation system, maybe your memorychip is loose and you need to seat tight again, then, clean up some dust on the mainboard, which can helpfully.you can just have a try. I ever happend like this before and of course get succeed based on above what I listed. you can just have a try, maybe can help you.
