Are Spurs about to blow their champions league position ?

April 9, 2012 11:34am CST
Spurs are on a terrible run at the moment and lost 2 - 1 at home to Norwich today. It was not too long ago that they were pushing for the title but if Chelsea win tonight then they will be level with them pointswise and only goal differance keeping them out of a champions league place. I think their decline started with the speculation of Rednapp for the England job and unless they improve they will be participating in the Europa league again next season. What are your thoughts on them ?

It looks like their good work earlier in the season is in vain. Newcastle is now level on points with them. To think they were once 10 points clear from the 4th team. It does seem like Redknapp future had derailed their season. Unless they find their form, Europa League action will be the likely outcome for next season.

I have to say that I didn't expect that but It seems like the Spurs might blew it after all. I have to say though that Newcastle also deserves it. They are performing really well this year.

How much a month makes a difference in football? A month or so ago, the title was Man City's to lose with Tottenham with an outside chance to win the title. Arsenal were 8 points further behind them. Today, Man United has more or less won the title 8 points clear of Man City. On the other hand, Tottenham have lost the third spot to Arsenal who have a chance to go clear by 5 points on Wednesday. To add injury to insult they might even lose the 4th spot to either Chelsea or Newcastle!! I think the Harry for England campaign has taken his eye off the Tottenham job and now that the results have started going awry, he is finding it difficult to turn things around. Cheers! Ram

It certainly looks like a possibility, I wouldn't blame Redknapp but would the FA, Any manager would be flattered by being linked to the national Job but until the FA actually come out and say we want Harry Redknapp and make that call then what is he supposed to do?.
