when you're still a student, what do you usually do when you're bored in class?

i easily get bored in class especially when the subject is difficult and i cant even understand a thing, plus when the teacher's voice seems like a sleeping pill to me. haha when this strikes, all i do is to grab a piece of paper and doodle. it makes me come back to my senses. how about you? share some thoughts! :)

When I get bored in class, I usually check out the ladies in the class and pretty ladies passing through the corridors. hehehe I daydream and think about happy thoughts and moments.

That's what I do too.
I don't want to fall asleep and disrespect the professor. So if sit at the back, I will grab a piece of paper and start to draw almost anything that comes to mind...because if I start to imagine tralalaland, I tend to fall asleep and go to dreamlalaland.

I only do this when the teacher that's teaching lulls me to sleep. But most of the time, I'm attentive to them because my professors are very good instructors. You only find those Jigglypuff rare in my department.

If the subject is difficult for you, chances are you need to be paying AS MUCH attention as possible!!! Perhaps if you paid more attention, it would be easier to understand. Maybe something like tutoring is necessary for you to understand what's going on a little better.

That really is a bad reflection on the teacher when I personally would have gotten bored. Because I tend to be able to keep focused during school during some boring teachers but I forced myself to listen. When they are actively putting me right to sleep, these teachers are really just the absolute bottom of the barrel with how well they can teach.
Back during my school days, I just took a lot of notes. Of course, when I looked at my notes, I chuckled when I not so much took notes, but pretty much wrote down everything that some of these boring teachers said, in an attempt to keep myself from drifting off and missing something actually important that they would have said. Then again, some teachers should really learn to get to the point.

I really support your respond , megamatt. I also want to add that writting notes is really challenging for a student : you have to write very very fast with your hand like the speed of talking. So , what can a student do if he can't write so fast ? every word is important , so , I personally write only the first two leters of each word and it makes my writing a lot faster.
After a while , if I have some time , I can ask the teacher to repeat something I have some doubts about if I got it right. It is not easy to always remember what I ment when I wrote only two letters of each word. Most of the time it's trivial. If I have some doubts , I ask the teacher to repeat again.
I see it like a sport that puts my sleepiness out when in class.
I also have to confess that many lectures I closed my eyes and let the sleepiness take control on me. It made me not finish the first degree and I'm very sorry for it till today.
It is very important for one to learn how to deal with his personal problems that prevent him from reaching his goal.

When I feel bored in class chat with my lovely friends or sketching something but these all thing is do when teacher is not in class. If teacher in class and feeling bore then sleeping is my first work haha...

Well, I easily get bored in class, and when that happened, I chat with the person next to me or listen to music on my cell phone. Sometimes I feel bad doing this, because I fell like I'm doing something against me, when I'm not listening and actually I am doing something against me, but most of the time I swallow this bad feeling and just turn my brain off.

Let's get serius now. If you want to get good grades , one good way is learning.
The lecture can be a waste of time if you get sleepy and learn nothing during the lecture. If you just take a bottle of water with some lemmon parts and some good herbs like mint , you will stay awake. Maybe you can take a small cup of coffee in a special bottle that keeps the coffee hot.
The best thing you can do is write notes as fast and as much as you can. Try to use short words instead of the whole words. Maybe you can read the material in advance and prepare some questions. So then you have things to ask the teacher and maybe put some interest in the subject.

I also easily get bored in everything. Music, game, class and everything. I get bored if the teacher's method seems like old and disinterested. Then I sleep in the class. wahaha. But I have to learn lessons even though the teacher and his method is boring.

I hate sleeping in class. It seems like you are undermine the teacher and this is not something some lecturers take lightly. Sometimes I may be very tired and I would start feeling sleepy immediately the lecture begins. I normally stand and listen to the lecturer standing. If my sleep does not go away, I better leave class,

hi there! i do the same too, i do scribbles or draw whenever i feel like sleeping. sometimes a gently slap my self to wake me up when i am feeling sleepy already. we can't really avoid being sleepy at the class especially when it is afternoon or its raining.

When i am bored in the class, and I don't take a seat in the first table in the class also, I may read my the others things, such as love stories or just draw something on papers.
This topic make me remember my student time, very lovely. Wish I can go back at that time now...

I will try to listen to what the professor is saying.
Or if I'm getting too sleep,y I will just talk to my seatmate.

I feel you zaskasahagun! :) Back in college I always doodle also when I'm bored. I still doodle at work from my previous job. Doodles and drawings are my type. I usually draw the eyes, that's my specialty. Worst I did when bored in class is daydreaming! Just look out the window and let your mind wander.

SLEEEEP! (Haha! I may be a scholar but I'm not immune to Clinomania)
I usually stop listening and pray to God that the teacher wont give a quiz after the lesson. That way I could just copy someone else's notes and study them later (though I've never done that. Haha.)
Let's see.. I imagine what would I would be able to do if time stopped and everyone in the room but me freezes.
I take out a text book and color in the O's and D's and c's.
I... ask permission to go to the bathroom and then do a funny dance outside that only my trapped classmates could see.
aaand. Uhmm.. Yea, i sleep. :)
