An attack on their neighbor? Could you give us a link to the news, my dear? What I heard lately is that it will be a satellite that they will try to put into orbit that will relay to them some weather forecast. And they're launching it sometime this weekend which happens to be their late leader's centennial celebration. Stay indoors and you should be safe from falling debris (if there will be any). And pray.

I wouldn't worry about it. As another poster has already pointed out, this rocket launch is to put a satellite into space. Not even much of a satellite - just an experimental model that will transmit a recorded speach by one of their dynasty of dictators. Political grandstanding by a totalitarian regime that's got nowhere to go and can't even keep the lights on it their cities every night. Although the basic technology involved in a satellite launch vehicle is the same as in an artillery rocket, it's nowhere near being a weapon system.

the politics against north korea is weighing down on its sovereign right as a state. whatever its activities is being viewed as security threats by the US allies including the philippines. the rocket launch is for communication satellite. of course, everyone is free to speculate that it will be a testing for the rocket missiles of north korea.

I just saw this on the news too, but I would not let any threats concern you as much. North Korea is known as a rogue country. If they try to attack South Korea, everyone in the world will come to South Korea's defense and lots of sanctions will be imposed against North Korea, making life at best - difficult. North Korea is a lot like Iran - a lot of big talk and trying to try to get the world's attention. In the end, not alot happens.
