I believe more and more people are turning to natural medicines as an alternative to good health. Many people have been disappointed with some western medicines that focuses only in healing a disease when it's there already, while natural medicine focuses on prevention and also healing the main source of the disease. I would like to mention some herbal medicines that have been used by my family for a long time already and have helped us with gaining better health. One of these herbs is Cayenne in capsule form. Cayenne is made from red pepper and they are very good for the heart and helps blood circulation. Another one I recommend is a kind of Vitamin C but is non-acidic, and the brand name is Fern-C. Taking large doses of this is one of the best ways to prevent and heal many types of sickness, including fever, cold and flu. I can mention others like Ganoderma and Barleys for overall good health. How about you, what types of natural medicines do you or your family use which are effective in maintaining good health and healing diseases?

Have you heard of 'black seeds'? I'm not sure what would be the official popular name for it. It's some kind of herbs, and here we can find it in middle eastern shops among the spices or herbs section under the name 'Black / Nigella Cummin'. They come as seeds similar to black sesame seeds in shape and size. We have to grind it and there will be some whitish color once grounded. The most effective part of the seeds is actually those white stuffs inside. It can be taken by its grounded self, but may be a bit hard to swallow especially for those who are not used to the bitter taste. We usually mix a teaspoon of black seeds powder to a glass of orange juice and it's a lot easier to take. It's suppose to cure many diseases, but we are taking the teaspoonful daily just as preventative measures. It's like taking vitamins without any bad side effects.

That is great! I hope more of these stuff are developed and used by ordinary people. Im not sure if we have "HabbatusSauda" or black seed in our country, but I would check about it. In my country, some other popular natural-healing products are ganoshi derma, mangosteen and barley. Some are in a form of tablet or capsule while others are in forms of coffee, tea or drink.

Again, why are natural herbs or natural medicines called alternative medicine when it's the very first medicine humanity ever had?! Forget I asked that. I just hate the synthesized medicines because of what is happening to my brother and what happened to us when we were using those man-made things. Actually, there are no medicine that is good a medicine. Anything has it's bad side too when used improperly. That is the basic thing one must know regarding medicine. "One person's medicine can be another's poison." But if you are talking about food supplements, that's another story. The best thing I've come so far are Sante's Barley and Nutrisence's Super Foods--I'm not sure about the spelling of the company on the latter. Barley is to prevent our most common allergy. I've also tried Gano's Ganoderma, Excellium and others for everyday performance but I stopped to prevent my body from building up defences that will prevent us from enjoying the effects of these supplements. Now, I'm back to fruits, vegetables and plant herbs. After a couple of months, I may take those supplements again. Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

There's a lot of natural made medicines that can be substitutes. I dont know what's the name but I drink it to heal cough and colds. I take the leaves of a plant and finely squash it. Mix it with water and drink about three times a day. This is more effective than the usual expensive medicines. It just taste very bitter.

our family used to consume ganoderma but we stopped consuming it because it seems doesn't make any different. today we prefer taking fresh and organic stuff to maintain our health (orange, cranberry, apple, avocado, etc and consuming veggie), jump on threadmill twice a day in the morning and evening and drink plenty of water, so far it works good to me and my husband.
