Neighbors Walking Through Our Yard

We live on a corner lot and none of the yard is fenced in. Along the backside of the house is a shed and the drive way and the space between the house and shed used to be full of grass and it was part of the yard. However, for several months now our neighbors that live to the north of us have made that their pathway to getting into their back yard and not it's got no grass there. We have called our landlord several times asking him to take care of the problem but no such luck. And with the kind of area that we live you don't really say anything because you don't need it causeing trouble. It's creepy because they will even walk through there at all hours of the night and day. What is so hard about going around the front of our house in into their yard?
Do any of you have a neighbor that just does odd or upsetting things?

As far as odd neighbors are concerned, ours are such lovers of anything noisy. They started raising roosters for cockfighting, which is fine but imagine having 5 roosters crowing even though it's the middle of the night. My dad drew the line when they attempted to have a sixth one that's right in front of our back door. The wife is also fond of talking on her cellphone in a loud voice while she saunters in our front yard. I really don't get why they always have to do this within our place. We also have asked the landlord to interfere, and it seems our wait wouldn't be long now as they have failed to pay the rent for 3 months now and they will have to pack up and go.

There are quite a few options available to you, that could stop your neighbors from walking on your lawn.
1. Put up a sign that says, "Please stay off the grass!"
2. Put up a sign that says, "Private property do not cross!"
3. Get a big dog and put his Dog-house out there. Tie him with a long chain to the doghouse, and just feed him enough to keep him hungry.
4 Dig it up and plant it to trees.
5.Park several old wrecked cars out there.
6. Fence it off with a high board fence topped with barbed wire.
7. Dig it up and spray water on it to make it muddy.
8. Put up a sign that says."Trespassers will be Prosecuted."
9. Plant it to thistles, and other noxious plants.
10. Smile and say, "Hello," to your neighbors as they cross over!
